iGate Interview Experience - Kolkata December 19 2014
IGate selection process:
1) Written test.
2) Technical round.
3) Hr interview.
Coming to written test it consists of 50 questions where 20 questions from verbal and 15 from reasoning and 15 from quant and the cutoff will be more in written test and it will be maximum 43 for 50.
It was a pool of 12 colleges in which nearly 350 student attended, out of which 59 could clear the aptitude and 24 got selected after the interview.
I practiced everything from IndiaBix, So special thanks to them.
Focus more on quality of problems rather than quantity, I have seen people who practice 150 problems of same type from RS Aggarwal which is a waste of time, questions given on IndiaBix are sufficient to understand all the type of sums and concepts.
For iGate aptitude, there were 30 questions of Quants and 20 questions verbal, and total time was 60 minutes.
My suggestion don't waste time on a single problem rather try to finish as much as possible in that given 60 minutes.
The questions were easy though make sure you mark the right options in the omr sheet provided. I cleared the aptitude.
Then after an hour they called me for technical round.
The technical interviewer asked some basic questions.
Started with my introduction he was very friendly.
Asked me about my projects and some questions on C and C++.
Then after the round we shook hands and I was told to wait outside.
I was called for pi there.
I was asked to introduce myself then followed by skills and why I would like to work for them. They check your confidence and your communication skills and always be honest.
After the interview I was told that the result would be out within 5-7 days.
Finally proud to say that I was there among the selected candidates.
