Paper : iGate Job Interview Placement Paper Pattern

Hi Guys... I am NAVEEN GOWTHAM... From Sri Venkatesware College Of Engineering(S.V.C.E). M major is ECE, But that doesn\'t Matter for getting into a software company .... well coming to the point.. This is ma 5 th company.. I missed out alllall the previous MNC\'s... But now i thank god. for not giving me them............ Well in iGATE... It was OnCampus for us.. around 230 wrote the Aps ... and out of which they cleared only 21.Then we had an technical round... there they cleared only 7... and luckily i cleared it... next v had HR round... here all 7 were recruited...
The aptitude pattern that v had was.... 50 questions 50 minutes... I felt the aps was really cool and challenging.. I would suggest u to have a clear mind and logical thinking rather than siting and breaking your head with R.S.AGARWAl. Out of the 50 questions... 15 quants... 20 verbal...and 15 non verbal questions.. Verbal and Non Verbal very easy.. wat u need to have is.. logical thinking and a clear mind.. coming to quants... ya well u can study R.S.AGAR.. but don waste time in all those stuffs... only 6 Problems were tough.. all others we can solve without R.S.AGAR preparation. NO NEGATIVE marking , but the cut-off they usually have is pretty high. Coming to the technical round....
2 HR\'s were there.. they ask questions based on whatever u put in resume.. As my major is ECE, i put digital electronics as my favorite subject... so he asked me three question....
1. wat is flip flop
2. wat is the use of flip flop
3. wat is synchronous and asynchronous circuit then asked me 4 questions in C
1. wat is the advantage of C over the basic language? ans.. bit manipulation, pointers, memory allocation
2.wat is pointers?
3.wat is the use of pointers?
4.write a small program using pointers . I answered all the questions.... then My technical interview was more with Hr questions.. as i carried many of my extra curricular certificates...
He was very impressed. so asked general Hr questions like :
1. tell us about yourself
2. y ece to software?
3. wat is a software company? And finally i had to face the toughest question...! WHY IS YOUR AGGREGATE VERY LOW? I had only 64.5%, i missed out the previous companies coz of the same question.. so i am well prepared of wat to answer in iGate... As expected this question was fired to me.... Wat i would recommend is don be too frank like... I DIDNT STUDY..... though tats the main reason.. still u can tell it in a professional way..... well what i answered to the question is... Sorry sir , i had to get into many extracurricular acts.. so i had to miss my attendance.. so i lost my internals, which reflected in my acads. You can tell this only if u have good some of extra curricular certis.... Somehow the Technial round was over and with GODS grace i cleared it...... 7 of us cleared..
The Hr round is more of like an formality... again the basic HR questions...... The interview got over by 6, and the results were announced by 6 30 . and thank gog i got selected.... wish u good luck guys... C you in iGATE
