IBM Interview Experience - Greater Noida
Post: Associate System Engineer.
60% in 10th and 12th.
65% in B.Tech.
No current Backlogs.
Round 1: It consists of two different tests (18 series questions and 18 aptitude questions). And you get 2.15 min to solve each question.
All these questions are repeated, in case of aptitude only values are changed, so collect previously asked questions from sites like IndiaBix.
If you cleared round, then next round is ECT (English communication test).
Most of the question are related to the business letter, email, active-passive voice, etc.
And the best part is each and every question is repeated, soo search IBM business communication papers question, you will get all the questions, that's enough to crack this test.
Round 3 (Technical Interviews) :
Those who cleared the test up to round 2 are invited next day for the interviews (Tech + HR).
The interview started at 9:15 am.
There were 5-6 panels.
After waiting for a little my name was called for Technical Interviews.
Soo went to the interview cabin.
And the conversation was like :
Me: May I come in sir.
He: Yes of course and told me to sit down.
He: Good Morning.
Me: I replied a very good morning sir (in my mind oh shit! I forgot to wish him good morning but actually he was really a cool guy).
He: How is the day!
Me: Good Sir.
He: Give me your resume.
I handed over my resume to him.
He looked at my resume and asked me is there any other educational qualification/course you have done that you have not mentioned in it your resume.
Me: I have done Machine learning courses on coursera. Co, so I told him about that.
He: What is Machine Learning.
He: The difference between machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.
Now he looked back at my resume and then asked me to explain about my projects (explain properly about the projects).
Me: I explained my project with the help of activity diagram.
He looked back at my resume and asked so you have done training in java.
Me: I said yes.
He: Explain Vector.
Me: I have good knowledge of basic of java.
He: Like what.
Me: JDBC, MULTITHREADING, OOPS CONCEPTS.
He: Explain polymorphism.
He: Can you explain how would you use Java OOPS properties with help of program (he wants me to write a program in which I have to use all the basic oops properties like abstraction, inheritance, polymorphism etc).
I have done training on social and digital marketing tools soo then he asked me about that training and how it works.
He: So that all from my side, do you have any question!
Me: Yes, how is your experience with IBM and I also about the work environment.
That guy was great was great with words and personality, he told me about his experience in the simplest manner and also told me that you must have to be good at your communication skills so that you can explain or keep your view in front of others in the simplest manner and effective way.
And the tech interview overs here and I came out saying thank you to him.
Now coordinator told me to move towards the HR room with all original documents.
They were declaring the result of the technical interview and if you passed it then you HR interview (simple questions, just be confident, if you have already cleared technical 95+ chance are there you will get selected) + document Verification+ biometrics were taken.
Soo moved toward the Hr room (as the result of the technical interview).
HR: Your Name, please.
HR: Give me all your original documents.
HR: Tell me something about yourself.
HR: You have to move different places do you have any problem.
ME: I said nO,
HR: that's all! your documents are verified while returning back it to me, please give your biometrics to him (another person sitting there with a laptop and biometric scanning tools).
After the scan they told me to leave for the day, we will contact you soon.
And next day name was announced and my name was is on the list.
Yippie now I'm going to be an IBMER.
Just be Confident and good at your communication skills as it matters.
Also, mention only the things that you know well in the resume because most of the questions will be asked from your resume.
