Hey, Guys.

IBM visited my Institute (SGGS Nanded) for Campus Recruitment on 17th October 2016.

Basically, the recruitment procedure of IBM is divided into 3 parts:

1) Online aptitude test.
2) Psychometric test.
3) Technical + HR Interview.

1) Online aptitude test:

The test started at 1 pm.
Test comprised of 20 quant questions.

- It is not possible to go back to previous question once it is skipped.
- System in-built Calculator was allowed.
- There was no negative marking but restriction on time.
- Each question had a time limit of 2 min. 15 sec.

2) Psychometric test:

After completion of aptitude test, we were headed to Psychometric test (also called as WSI-WORK STYLE INVENTORY). It had 100 questions with time limit of 45 min. The questions were based on our day to day life scenarios and how we tackle them. The questions were simple but very tricky and they seem to repeat more than once. If you put two different answers for the same question, you are likely to be ruled out. So, don\'t try to flatter. BE YOURSELF, it always works.

100 members attend from our institute and only 38 made it through. I was not sure about clearing the test. But the result was in my favor and I was through it.

3) Technical + HR Interview:

The interview was scheduled the next day. My interviewer was very polite. In the beginning, he went through my resume and praised me for maintaining constant pointer (i.e. 9 on the scale of 10) in academics.

He asked me to introduce myself and I was just waiting for this question. I spoke continuously for 5 min. (make this question your strongest point, because the first impression matters a lot) then he asked general questions,

1) About my hobbies.
2) Explain your project?
3) Why IBM and why should we hire you?

And at end, he asked, is there any question for him (interviewer). I asked him about his experience in IBM. He explained me very clearly and so friendly.

It was a nice experience. Be Confident, communication skills matters a lot.
Results were out on 20 Oct 2016. And I was selected!

All the best, guys. Prepare well, if you clear the first round, chances of getting selected into the company increases.
