Hello IBM aspirant,

First of all, ALL THE BEST for your preparations.

I have undergone a On-campus Pool drive organised by G. L. Bajaj College. I am very much thankful.

We had 3 rounds, 1st one was series+aptitude, 2nd one was English, and the last one was HR interview.

1ST ROUND:

IndiaBix.com was a great help for me during the preparation for all the rounds. Even if you have just 2 days or so remaining, just start practicing the questions. Don\'t try to cram answers of previous year papers, but try to get all the possible approaches for series questions. We had 2min 15sec time for each series question and a 30 sec break after every question, only if you need. So, just don\'t waste time in cramming the answers to the series questions, instead try to solve different series question under some stopwatch, so that you become used to the fear of that moment. Take your time to relax after any question. You can even skip the gap, if you want to.

There was no question number written on the questions, so keep a check, if you want to, on remaining number of questions left.

After 18 series questions, comes the aptitude part. It seemed that all the percentage questions were specifically assigned to me, all you need is stay calm and focused. Again 2:15 min for each question.

After this round, we had to wait, for the results, for about 2 hrs and I had my name in the list of selected candidates (They were announcing the list of both, selected and not selected candidates, so that any ambiguity can be avoided).

2ND ROUND:

There were 20 questions and 22 minutes time was allotted, questions were basic and the topics which I would suggest you to prepare are: Business letters, active-passive voice, punctuation marks, tenses, salutations. And don\'t panic, just have confidence in your answers.

I again heard my name in the list of selected candidates.

3RD ROUND:

One interesting thing that I found about the placement drive is, they didn\'t test our technical at any point of the placement drive. They actually told us that, \'You people are eligible to sit in the drive that means you have maintained 70% and above allover, so we believe that you must have maintained basic technical skills till now\'. So, no need to cram the OOP concepts and all that, just try and be confident and original.

A set of questions which I was asked were:

1. Tell me about yourself.

2. Something innovative that you have done.

3. Difficult situation for you.

4. Crazy thing that you have done.

5. Why do want to work in software field when you have all the interest in electronics (As I am from ECE domain).

6. Explain your project (This question was asked because I somewhere mentioned my project in some answer).

7. How do you define success.

8. If one of your team member is not working, will you still call it success.

9. Do you have any question for me.

These are some pre-known set of questions, so be prepared for a set of such questions so that you are fluent at that time. Everybody who was coming out of the interview room seemed happy and satisfied, they make you comfortable. So, relax, breath in and enter the room with confidence and the most important thing is that don\'t be over-confident and never ever show your attitude to the interviewer, this was one of the reason for rejections.

This time they announced the names of not selected candidates and I was really happy that my name was not in the list. Now, I can say \'I will be an IBMer\'.

Then we filled the employment forms.

ALL THE VERY BEST :).
