Hero MotoCorp R&D section recruited 2 students from VIT University Vellore with 8 LPA CTC.

They called 2 branches M.Tech Automotive Electronics and Mechatronics for this hiring process. I assume their R&D section needs students who have both Electronics and mechanical/automotive knowledge.

Their eligibility was 6 CGPA and no current arrears. A maximum 2-year gap was allowed.

Nearly 55 students appeared in this selection process.

3 officials (2 HR, 1R&D) were there for the process. Their PPT was very nice and interactive. They said the location will be Dharuhera or Jaipur (shifting some R&D wing to Jaipur).

The first round was GD.
They split us into 5 groups each of 11 people (nearly).
Topics were (based on my memory).
Young leaders in politics.
Will privatization lead to corruption?
Importance of electronics in the automotive industry (similar).
Is the advancement of electronics hampering mechanical developments (similar)?
Is dependency towards the computer/internet killing creativity?

They shortlisted 15 (9-Auto. Elec. , 6-Mechatronics) students from GD. They selected 4/5 from one group, 2 from a group, 3 from another. Those who are very active in GD will be surely in the next round.

The next round was a psychometric test.

As per my knowledge, they selected all these 15 to the next round. It is like selecting some options about your character, abilities etc. They may or may not ask questions about it in the next round, The interview was also not tough. All the above-mentioned officials were on the panel. They asked HR some questions which are common in interviews. They mainly asked questions about projects. They asked some basic electronics questions like draw non-inverting op amp ckt, integrator circuit and explain etc. Will you face any language problems to talk Hindi, some questions from previous psychometric options. Any questions to us etc.

Finally, they shortlisted 1 student from automotive electronics and 1 from mechatronics for 8LPA CTC.
