Placement Papers - Hero MotoCorp

Hi friends.

This is Kanik, sharing my interview experience with Hero MotoCorp I came for campus recruit to Delhi Institute Of Tool Engineering at Wazirpur for Diploma holders in Tool and Die making.

First of all there was a pre-placement talk and presentation of the company and its timeline.
Package - 3.85 Lakhs.
Take home - 24 Thousand.
Company demands 70% above students in 30 students are eligible for this out of 60 including me. Now 3 rounds in total.

1) Written test.
2) Group discussion.
3) Interview.
All 3 rounds on same day.

I'll list out some parameters that I remember in each round. First, a written test was conducted of 30 minutes having total of 45 questions in which 30 technical and 15 aptitude. Technical related to course and general aptitude. In this 20 students were selected out of 30 including me.

Then next round of Group discussion.
In this we're split into two groups of 10 students each. From both groups 5, 5 students were selected. Topic was 1st group - Make in India is a good step or not. 2nd group - Who is the best leader Modi or Kejriwal? I was in 2nd group and got selected for the Interview of 10 students.

Now comes the interview, technical and HR both took place at 2 PM. And I was like swinging. I was the first one to be interviewed, When I entered room. The first question was " Tell me something about yourself ", I told them about my qualifications and skills that I've learned in college. Then about my projects and technical questions on Press tool, CNC, cutting speed, rpm etc.,

Then asked about my family background and where I live. And many other things, this gone for around 20 minutes. At last they asked if you'll be sent to different plants across India will you be comfortable with that?
And I agree with this.

My Tip: Just answer point to point and be sure not to say something that you aren't familiar with! Because the answer you say is like onion, Peel it every time and you'll get more and more questions related to that.

After that results were announced at 5.30 PM and they selected 5 students. Unfortunately, I wasn't selected and got lil disappointed. But I fought till last and reached up to top 10 which makes me feel better. So! Best of luck guys.
