Hi Friends
I attended HCL Test on sunday(31st) in their chennai cisco offshore Development Center, Nungambakkam. i got the call a week ago.
there was a huge rush on the hol(Y)iday. i attended in batch-3 at 12\'o clock. First of all thanks to Mr.Arun Saral, Bangalore (Friends member) who personally mailed on interest and gave a good suggestion on how to take the test! I also had a nice chat with him on phone. He gave some idea on the pattern but a little looked changed there.
Totally 5 sections:
1-Aptitude - All from AGGARWAL - 20 questions
2-C - (Basic - Pointers - Structures- unions) - all were programs - 30 questions
3- Java - I didn\'t even see it - due to lack of time...( but given to be an optional sections for non java people but i skipped to concentrate on other section..20 questions
4-Networking Basic- but happened to be core networking test on routers-bridges ( they told this is the only optional section but i attended this and skipped java as the question paper said java is optional of non java people)- 20questions
5 - Basic Computer Concepts - 20 questions.
The questions were for the sections 4&5 looked little strange and other sections were normal (expected type)
Negative Marks for all sections (0.25 marks) except last section.
Sorry I couldn\'t remember the questions for sections 4&5.. i just shaded the boxes!!!
C & Aptitude was nothing new with same pattern followed in other tests (Basic)
The Question Booklet was very biGGG and it was frightening by its size
But the time was very less just 80minutes
Results will be mailed to u..within 10 days
