Hi Friends.

I'm going to share the experience of my HCL TECH Interview.

HCL interview process is a little different one compared to the others.

The recruitment process has 5 rounds and will be conducted within 2 days. The result will be announced 2 days after the completion of all the rounds.

1st Round: Basic Verbal written Test.

It's very simple and easy to clear. We should be in a position to use our minimum grammatical skills like tenses, IF clauses, prepositions, suitable word substitution etc. ,

But, there will be a lot of elimination in this round. When I attended, around 700 mem wrote the test and out of them, only 110 mem cleared the test and were eligible for round 2. The second round was conducted immediately after the round 1.

Tip - try to learn basic Grammar and you will clear it for sure.

2nd Round: Communication Assessment.

All the 110 members were divided into 5 batches, each containing 20 or 15 mem.

It's not a usual GD. It's something where we should exhibit our speaking skills without any hesitation and with more confidence. All the 20 members were asked to sit in our respected seats and the HR asked each and everyone to introduce ourselves one after another. Later, she pointed out each and everyone from 1st person to the last person and gave a topic to speak about a minute.

The topics are just like: Our schedule for 2 days, Schedule for tomorrow, favorite movie etc. ,

When everyone completed speaking, she announced some names who are requested to wait inside and the rest are asked to leave the cabin. Out of 20 mem, only 6 members were in and I was one among them. After that, she called each and everyone separately and asked to pronounce the words that she wrote on the paper. And again a topic was given to everyone to speak for one min.

Now the topics are also similar, just like: fav place, About India, western Culture Vs Indian Culture, etc. ,

After that, she announce only three names who cleared the round and I was one among them.

In another batch of 20 mem, my friends were there. One of my friends was to asked to give her resume and asked about her career objective, strengths etc. , So, be prepared with your resume even in the Round 2.

Tip- Be confident on your speech, Speak loudly and clearly so that all the people in the cabin should understand what you are talking about, The HR will only see your confidence and the clarity in your speech.

Out of 110 mem, only 17 people were selected and are asked to come to the 3rd round the very next day.

3rd round: Technical Round.

This is one of the rounds where you should be good at the spontaneity. The TR manager will first ask us introduce ourselves and will see our resume. Be prepared with your resume. If You include C language in your resume, then he will ask you about C language in depth. Sometimes, he will ask you completely about your stream i.e. if you are from ECE, then he will ask you about ECE concepts like satellite communications, Radar communications, VLSI etc. , if you are from EEE, he will ask you about Motors and generators. If you don't know the answer, be bold to say that you don't actually know it. Be free with TR manager. Wish him and get wished. Don't be nervous and try to be confident. Among 17 mem, only 14 cleared the round and the next round was conducted immediately.

Tip- Try to be good at the basics of C lang, basics of some of your core subjects.

Be prepared with your project. Sometimes, he may ask you that too.

4th Round: HR.

It's not a Personal interview. At a time, 7 mem were asked to get into the HR cabin and are interviewed in parallel. Be brave and be attentive. Be prepared with your resume. He will ask you everything what you have written in the resume i.e.your hobbies, interests, strengths, why should they hire u, tell me about yourself, weaknesses etc. , Don't try to fake, he'll definitely identify you. Be confident. Don't feel bad even if he scold you. Sometimes, he may test our patience.

13 mem were selected and are requested to attend the online AMCAT.

Tip- Be prepared with your resume, Be confident, Be brave, don't be nervous when the HR stresses you on something. Always have a smile on your face.

5th Round: Online AMCAT by Aspiring Minds.

Final round in the interview process. It consists of some basic quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and verbal reasoning. Try to learn them.

Tip- Basic aptitude like time and distance, trains, percentages; logical reasoning like directions and coding.

When the test was over, we were requested to wait for the results.

After 2 days, I got a call saying that was selected.

Out of 12 members, only 8 members were selected.

Thank God was one among the 8 mem.

I hope my experience will be helpful for you.

All the best and See you soon at HCL TECH.
