Placement Papers - HCL

Hi guys,

Im Ancy Seles, cs student studying in FISAT. Im blessed to say that I got placed to HCL technologies this year. Friends, now also I can\'t believe that I was selected from 1200+ candidates. The placement procedure consist of 5 process.

1. Grammar test.
2. Gd.
3. Tech.
4. Hr.
5. Aptitude.

Firstly, they took a grammar test. That was very easy. Simple grammar questions like "Its raining, and___ she wants to go out" 1. Yet 2. Although, etc. " Easy guys.

From that they selected 500+ for the next round. And that is gd. Their gd is different from all other companies. They put 25 students in 1 gd group. And asked each and everyone to introduce themselves. And to some particulars they asked about the hobbies. [Always keep a smart and byhearted "about yourself"]. Easy part. From this they took 50+ students to tech.

This round started on next day mng 10. I\'m really blessed guys. My tech sir was so sweet. He was always smiling. He asked.

1. Tell about yourself.
[gone thru my resume].

2. Tell about project.
3. Tell about seminar.
4. What is wan and lan?
5. Man?
6. Topologies? and draw it?
7. Osi?
8. Tcp?
9. Favorite subject?[ I said database].
10. What all things you know about that subject?
11. What is rate1, rate0, etc.
12. Software basics?
13. Software engg process. [planning, etc. ].

Ho. God. Amazing. He said will put in waiting list. And from waiting list I got selected to hr. Only 30+ entered to hr. Hr again asked about family. About hcl company. After that he told "these kinda jobs you have to do, you must b ready to work at night shifts, etc. ". And asked to give him a passport size photo.

Next day we had an online aptitude test. Conducted by AMCAT aspiring minds. Toughest exam I have ever attempted. [its pattern is available in net. ]after exam they told the exam result will be published tomorrow. After 2 days. Result came. Only 15/16 students were selected and my name was there. Thank you jesus.
