Placement Papers - HCL

Hi Friends

This is Tejasri, I completed my BTech from Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology & Science. I have selected in the off campus drive in the MLR College Technology held on 14-08-2010 by HCL Technologies.

Here, I am writing this posting to share my experience with you.

HCL RECRUITMENT PROCESS.

1) WRITTEN TEST (COMPUTER BASED ONLINE TEST)

It consists of 82 questions, we have to write them in 90 minutes

There are three sections :
a) Apptitude
b) English
c) English passage

Prepare the Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude by R.S AGARWAL. It is enough.

2) TECHNICAL GROUP DISCUSSION
Its very easy round to clear, though you are not aware of the topic it was easy because HR people gave brief description about the topic,our topic was Testing.Since our group of 5,were all from different streams,HR told us to talk in general about the topic rather than on technical side. If you are a good listener, pay some attention you definitely clear this round, major elemination is here only but all of them got selected from my group.

3) HR INTERVIEW
HR interview is just for formality. But some of us also got eliminated.Almost 500 people are qualified for the HR ROUND and 400+ selected (as per my knowledge).

The HR questions for me are,
- Tell me about ur self?
- What are your achivements ?
- What are your Strengths & weakness?
- What are your Hobbies ?
- What do you know about HCL?
- What are your academic projects?
- Why should we hire you ?
- What is your area of interest?
- Will you go Noida if you are posted there?

I was also posed by the questions which i never expected like:

1) If you were on a two-wheeler at a speed of 60km/hr..HR asked me to continue after this.

2) Tell the route map of the building to this room starting from the entrance of the building

My HR completed in around 20 minutes.

BE CONFIDENT, ANSWER FIRMLY...

My interview was completed on 14th auguest and I got the mail from HCL on 16th auguest saying that I am selected.
