hi guys.. Ms/ hcl technologies has come to my college on 14-06-2008.. the session is about to start at 8.30 but due to various reasons it started at about 9.40.. there was a pre-placement talk (ppt) for about 25 minutes .It is not like a talk..but the manager showed us a video which lasted for 10 min..later a small friendly talk about the recruitments process and compensations ,salary and additional benefits ..
first round.... aptitude test for about 60 min in which 60 questions are to be answered..
it consists of 10 -quant 10 -reasoning 10 R C s and fill in the blanks ( based on synonyms) 10 -computer basics 10 -mathematical modeling 10 -flow chats... everything is easy except for the very long reading comprehensions and mathematical modeling managing time is very important factor ... results were announced at about 1300 hours they asked us to come again and meet at 1430 hours.. out of 550 students attended the test 183 members got through it..
fortunately i was selected.. second round.. personal interview.... then they had chosen 50 students and asked them to come for the interview on the next day... i was asked to come on the next day.. The interview is very simple stick to basics be confident about ur answers dont do silly mistakes in the interview chamber.. they asked me about my family background fathers occupation,, and brothers occupation ... asked me some casual questions about my college... he was very impressed with my answers...am very confident while leaving the room... i waited for the results for 3 hours ...then they gave the shortlisted student list to the college authorities and left .. out of the 183 attended the personnel interview 73 students were selected.. but this time am not in the list of short listed candidates NONE OF THE MECHANICAL AND PRODUCTION STUDENTS WERE SELECTED later i found out the reason behind that THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THESE TWO BRANCHES.. ALTHOUGH CIVIL PEOPLE WERE NOT EVEN GIVEN THE ELIGIBILITY TO TAKE THESE so i advise mech, civil and prod. students not to take the test.... many of my friends were very confident that they will be selected ... i found many literary crying and .... scolding the company for what they have did..... hope this will not happen to other.. all the best guys...
