Placement Papers - GFL

The written test consists of 30 questions 10 in aptitude 15 in technical and 5 in current affairs. Each question carried 1 mark. 60 minutes were allotted to fill the answers. The question paper was MCQ-based. Cut-off marks were about 20.

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW.

I am from the chemical engineering branch so my interview was mostly on the basics of chemical engineering in which they had asked me about definitions of distillation, drying, and evaporation. Then they asked me about the types of heat exchangers and which heat exchangers have the largest surface area. Then they asked me about the types of distillation columns which they had further asked me about azeotropic distillation and extractive distillation and the difference between these two distillations then some basics of pump, fan, blower and compressors and their operating ranges. Then about plug flow reactors and CSTR reactors.

The HR interview was very easy the HR manager focused only on my resume and asked me to introduce myself then my family background, from where I passed school and other questions related to my hobby. HR tried to make me uncomfortable by saying that He had got two references for me. But I refused and told him that I didn't know about it.
