Hi all! I'm B.Atubh. I'm writing this article to share my GS Lab Pvt. Ltd. Experience with you.

Let's start from the beginning. I applied to GS Lab. By college campus.

Criteria:

1) 60% in 10th, 12th.
2) 55% in UG, PG.
3) No current backlogs.
4) No gap during UG, PG.

Package: 4.5 LPA for UG, 5.5 LPA for PG.

There were a total 4 rounds to get selected:

1) Aptitude test.
2) Technical interview 1.
3) Technical interview 2.
4) HR interview.

1) Aptitude test:

There were 2 options for aptitude test " Development and testing. I choose development. The test contained 7 questions. 1st question was MCQs on Networking, 2nd question was MCQs on Data structure and Computer Algorithms. 3rd question was MCQs on C language. We could skip any of the questions in case if you don't know the answer. 4th question contained 3 C programs which were reversing array elements and sorting of array elements. You could not go to next step until you wrote the correct program.

Even you could not skip this section. 5th question was also programming. Program for the sum of an array using given conditions. 6th question was a theory question on your academic projects. 7th question was again programming. Program of Structures in C. We were given 2 hours for test and I completed test just a few minutes before. Results declared after 2 days of exam. The interview was on 2nd day from the result. Interview held at GS Lab, Pune.

2) Technical interview 1:

We were called one by one for an interview. I was 3rd in the queue. The interviewer came and took me to their cabin. He saw my resume for 5 minutes and started asking questions. After 2 minutes another interviewer joined him. Firstly, he asked me about my project. Actually, till date, we have only mini projects in the syllabus. So, I didn't do any big projects. I talked about my mini-projects which I mentioned in my resume.

He asked questions depending on the topics of the project. However, the answers were not satisfactory as projects were not high-end projects. After answering his question I told him that we are having a big project in very next semester and I'm doing a project on Android/cloud. Both technologies are key part of this company. So we had a little discussion on it. He was impressed.

After this he asked me to write a program for string reverse in C. I wrote it correctly. Again he was impressed. Then he came to DBMS. He drew 2 tables and asked me to write one query. I wrote it correctly. Then he came to Data Structure. Asked me to write a link list program for given condition. Which was not an easy task. I tried it for few minutes but I could not.

Then he asked me a program to write a program to count nodes in a binary tree. I wrote it correctly. Then he asked some basic questions of Operating Systems and Networking. Then he asked me to ask questions about the company if I had. Be ready for this question. I asked questions on technology and the training period. Finally, he gave me 2 reasoning questions which I could solve only 1.

Here my First Technical interview ends. It was about 40-45 minutes. After 15-20 minutes I was selected from 1st technical and they called me for 2nd Technical interview.

3) Technical interview 2:

Once again the interviewer came and took me to their cabin. He saw my resume and started the actual interview. He started with networking. Asked me about the OSI model, ARP & RARP, Header of ARP.

Then he asked me to write a program in C for Linked List for a given condition. It was a tough program. I took more time to do this task but could not complete the task.

Then he asked me to tell subjects in the current semester and which one is my favourite. I told Compiler Construction. He started asking me questions about this. I answered correctly.

It was also about 40- 45 minutes interview. After some time I got Next Opportunity (NO) as a result. So, could not go for HR. I was out of the race. I got one more chance to get interview experience. Be positive yar!

Overall, the company was good.
The interviewers were so friendly.
It was bad luck for me.
All the very best for you guys.
