Hi all, I attended the Faurecia Interior Systems referral drive for the post of GET- (CAD). Actually, I had just completed my M.Tech. In CAD so was very anxious about this test. So the drive started at 7.30 am in the morning. Cutting short, after our registration and introduction to the company and job profile, the test procedure was explained.

Two Tests:

1) Isometric and Technical Test.
2) Aptitude Test.

1) Isometric and Technical Test:

It had two sections. The Isometric Test was a bit difficult. We were given 7 questions (only two views). We had to draw any 6 to make to the next round. I made 6 only. But its hard to crack. Also, the isometric test comes along with two logical questions in the end which you can answer in your own way. Its related to design and your imagination. Next, the technical section had basic problems with moments and forces to counterbalance some weight. Gear ratios, belt speeds, and shaft speeds are some to name but more focused on engineering subjects Strength of Materials and Applied Mechanics.

Now note this: "If you make all 7 drawings your cubicle is confirmed, so focus on isometric drawings." Technical test can be managed in Interviews.

2) Aptitude Test:

The aptitude test is just the usual one that we find in the IT industry. The aptitude test had verbal reasoning, paragraph, and quantitative aptitude. It's easy and not important (really your iso-test and technical tests matter). So I cracked these tests and made 7th rank. Now the interviews were arranged after lunch at 1 pm.

I was called for the interview. 1 HR manager and 2 design heads were ready to question me. First they asked me to draw an isometric and then told me to rotate that isometric drawing by 90 degrees. Then next I was asked to assemble an aluminum square frame. A box with 4 sections and 4 L-hinges was given with some hex-bolts and nuts. I couldn't assemble these. (That's why I was rejected).

They later asked bout family and those boring HR questions. The interview went on for 1 hour. Finally, after 2 hours the results were out and I wasn't on the list. But it was a good experience.
