Placement Papers - ERICSSON

Ericsson visited our University on 24 Jan 2017. Mainly they recruit from ECE, CSE and IT but this time they recruited EEE and E&I students from our campus. 

Total 392 students appeared for the online test.

And remember each round is an elimination.

I\'m from ETC.

So, whole process of the day was as follows:

1. PPT.
2. Online Test - 45 questions, 45 minutes.
   - No Negative Marking.
   Total 3 sections viz.
       -> Quantitative Aptitude (15 Questions).
             -Mainly from HCF & LCM.
             - Geometry (8th class standard)
             - Problems on Ages.
             - Percentage.
             - Profit & Loss.
             - Ratio & Proportion.
             - Partnership.
             - Interest.
             - Speed and Time.
             - Bar Graph/Line graph/Pie chart.
       -> Logical and Verbal Reasoning (15 Questions).
             - Series.
             - Coding and Decoding.
             - Statement argument.(Syllogism)
             - Blood relation.
             - Direction sense.
             - Seating arrangement (1 arrangement was given and asked 4/5 questions)
             - An Flow chart (was given and asked 5 question from that)
       -> Verbal Aptitude (15 Questions).
             -Practice IndiaBix, Passages are uncertain so do it accordingly.

Time is very less so do it wisely.
After aptitude test, Total shortlisted: 162.

3. GD: Generally GD is conducted for checking of communication and Thinking over a topic (Said by Ericsson Official).But this time they didn\'t conduct as they confirmed to check during interview. But I suggest you practice GD too.

4. Technical Interview :
 (As my resume was enough to explain what am I so My interview was less Technical but mostly HR type but I will put some different questions to which they asked my friends. )
 
I entered the room and wished him then he wished to me to sit in the chair.
I: So Rajesh where are you from?
Me: Told (as I am belonging from Odisha).

I: Where are the hostels I couldn\'t see and what this campus is?
Me: Told about different Campus of KIIT.
Interviewer was impressed by answer.
I: Very good.

I: (Looking into my Resume) So Rajesh What is DTMF and where it is used?
Me: Told with example.

I: Name some analog phones?
Me: Told.

I: What is IoT?
Me: Told. gave one example.

I: What is Power Amplifier?
Me: It is an electronic device that can increase the power of a signal (a time-varying voltage or current). An amplifier functions by taking power from a power supply and controlling the output to match the input signal shape having larger amplitude.

I: What is amplitude?
Me: Told.

I: What is attenuator?
Me: Attenuator is electronic device/fiber which decreases the power level to a certain limit by absorbing or reflecting to match the receiver.

I: What do you know about NASSCOM?
Me: Told about NASSCOM. (NASSCOM is not a technical term it is an organization for entrepreneurs and they help people and their dreams).

I: Are you flexible?
Me: Told.

Then he told many things related to work so I wrote HR one. 

I: Do you have any question?
Me: Asked about SDN and NFV Technology which are very newer technology where Ericsson is working so he was very good at this and explained me a lot.

I: I\'m done with you.
Me: Thank you, sir

Other technical questions: for EEE and E&I study electrical motors (like stepper motor) and how stepper works, and prefer different interview experience from IndiaBix or glass door.

5. HR Interview:

HR: Tell me something about you?
Me: Told.

HR: What does your father do?
Me: Told.

HR: Why did you join KIIT which is very expensive?
Me: Told the answer with very excellent reasons so this answer fascinated HR.

HR: Suppose your organisation is getting tender by giving bribes as an employee would you support that? (analytical question)
Me: Yes, for sure as I am an employee it is my responsibility to support my organisation but at the same time as I am a part of the organisation I would suggest to not pass the tender giving bribes because "truth prevails", one day the truth will come to the front where the reputation of our organisation may go down so it is better to not to do so.

HR: Are you placed yet?
Me: Told the answer which was the ans of why Ericsson?

HR: Any relocation problem? where do you want South, East or North?
Me: No. Any place I am flexible everywhere.

HR: Are you aware of bonds? (18 months service bonds)
Me: Yes ma\'am.

HR: Do you have any question?
Me: Ma\'am when will we get the joining?
HR: We will inform you.

ME: ma\'am what are the things should I look at before joining Ericsson?
HR: You need to look at your Pronunciation. :P

Hr: I am done with the interview.
Me: Wished her.

25-Jan-2017 6.00pm the result was announced where total 103 people got selected and I was one of them.
