Ericsson Interview Experience - Banasthali University, October 15, 2014

Hello Everyone. I appeared in Ericsson (or Ericsson India Global Service Pvt. Ltd.)'s recruitment Test held in Banasthali University, Jaipur.

Firstly, we got a mail from our college that Ericsson was coming on 15/oct/2014 and an Login id and Password. Only students of B.Tech E.C/C.S/I.T could participate.

It was conducted in four steps:

-- Online aptitude test.
-- G.D
-- Technical Round.
-- H.R Round.

Then on that particular date, with a small PPT in the morning, the online aptitude test began sharp at 9 am. Aptitude questions consisted of three sections :

1.) Logical (consisting questions on Flow chart, Assertion/Reason)
2.) English (Paragraph based, Synonyms, Antonyms and all)
3.) Quant (General questions on Trains, Boats and Streams etc)

English was very tough. R.S. Aggarwal is sufficient for L.R and Q.A.

Around 250 students took the online test but only 90 could clear the First Round. (I was one of them :-) ). Results were declared within half an hour.

The second round was G.D:

Students were divided in a group of 10 each. Topics were quite general and different in each group. The topics were:

--- Modi or Kejriwal.
--- Co-education or not.
--- Arrange or love marriage (This one was mine.)

People who spoke little bit were also selected. Only the ones who did not utter even a single word were rejected.

65 People cleared the G.D Round.

The Third Round was TECHNICAL INTERVIEW:

I was lucky. I got a nice interviewer. I entered and he asked me to sit down and asked me for my resume. My branch was E.C.

He then asked about my project. I explained it and then he asked about my role in it.

He then asked me about my second project. I explained it, and as since ADC was used in my project, with this he started with my technical questions.

Q1) How does ADC works ?

Q2) What is Nyquist Criterion ?

Q3) What is P.C.M ?

Q4) What is the difference between A.S.K and A.M ?

Then he asked me whether I knew Communication Networks. I said little bit. Then he asked the following questions.

Q5) Explain layers of OSI Model, TCP Model ?

Q6) Name protocols used at each layer ?

Q6) What is Routing and types of Routing ?

Q7) Which came first OSI or TCP ?

Q8) Why was OSI made ?

I answered all the questions perfectly as a result he said that I was "perfect" in technical.

He then asked why Ericsson?

I answered.

only 41 students cleared this round. All those who cleared this round were as it is selected in H.R Round. But the H.R round was very interesting for others and not for me. Because mine was a stress one. He deliberately asked me difficult questions and said he was not satisfied, demotivated me, said he expected much from me, and tried is level best to make me cry, loose all my hopes.

But finally at 11pm the results were announced and luckily I was one of them. :-)

TIPS:

Have confidence in yourself and do prepare well from IndiaBix or any other site .E.C students must prepare well for Communication Networks, Analog Communication and Digital Communication. You will definitely make it . All the Best.

Thank You !
