Placement Papers - ERICSSON

Hey guys,

I appeared for the ERICSSON placement Exam. The procedure consisted of 4 Elimination rounds.

-1st round:(45 min).

Written test - comprising of quantitative, verbal and logical reasoning questions.

Questions were easy except few. Verbal part had some passage related questions which were a lot time consuming and the same section had some synonym and antonym questions as well. In short, verbal section was a bit difficult for me than the other two sections.

Sections covered were: data interpretation, percentage, simplification (tough one) , train, Passages. Etc. And for the rest part I think common sense would work. !

32 appeared in this round and 19 were shortlisted.

- 2nd round: GD round (around 15 min).

2 batches of 10 students were formed and we were given a topic to discuss.

Our topic was " should AAP party take part in 2014 lok sabha elections ".

5 people were asked to be in favour of it and I was one among them.

First hr gave everyone chance to present their views and then everyone started putting their points.

Note: try to speak after every 2 min otherwise you will be asked to conclude.

Around 15 were shortlisted in this round. Two concluding people from both the batches were eliminated.

- 3rd round: Technical Interview.

Because I had given lot of interviews and faced rejection in each one. So suprisingly, I was bit calm this time.

I entered the room then he asked.

I: How was your day?
Me: A bit tiring sir.

I: Have you had lunch?
Me: Yes, sir.

I: Tell me something about urself.
ME: Told.

I: Fav sub?
ME: C, ds.

I: What is SQL?
ME: Told.

I: What are the commands?
ME: Told.

I: What is tcp model?
ME: Told.

I: Write one of your fav program.
Me: Wrote fibonacci series with recursion.

I: Explain how in this progrm variables will be stored in stack.
ME: I was not able make him understand it properly.

I: Example of array and linked list. Where they can be used?
ME: Told.

I: Linux commands.
ME: Told few.

I: What is executable command.
ME: Explained a bit but with confidence.

I: Packet switching and circuit switching?
ME: I said, Sir I\'m unable to recall it right now.

I: Any questions?
ME: I asked two questions.

After 2 hours they told me to go for hr.

Around 10 people were shortlisted in this round.

-4th round : HR interview.

HR first said: There is substantial reduction in your performance from 10th standard.
ME: I explained.

H: Okay. So you ask me some questions and take my interview.
ME: I asked 5-6 questions from him and he answered all with the same statement after every answer, "is that all you want to ask".

Then he said, "Tell me about your family".
ME: Told.

H: Relocation problem?
ME: No sir.

H: Any other question?
ME: Yes sir. Asked one more question.

H: Answered.

My interview was the last. So after around 10-15 min HR announced the result.
Around 9 students (2 from it, 1 from cse, 6 from ece) were selected and I was one among them. :) :).

And all I believe now is : "Follow your dreams and at some point of time in life you will surely achieve success". :).
