Placement Papers - Embitel

I attended an Interview at Embitel Technologies (India) Pvt. Limited, Bangalore. It was a very nice experience. They had 5 openings for Embedded, 5 for Android and 1 for IOS.

First, they took a written test containing 10 aptitude questions, 10 C questions, 10 analog electronics questions and 10 questions on microcontrollers (8051) & digital electronics. C questions were from INDIABIX only.

Out of 100 (approx) students, 12 Embedded students, 6 Android students and 2 IOS students qualified for the next rounds. After that, for embedded, they took 2 technical interviews and 1 HR interview. 1st technical interview was ok, more focusing on the basics of C and about your projects. 2nd was a bit tough, to focus on logic.

A few questions are here,

1) Tell me about yourself (Asked in all 3 interviews).
2) Draw the block diagram of your project & then questions on the project.
3) Which communication protocols do you know?
4) Gave a few small programs and asked for outputs. Programs based on "pointing a hardware address using pointers", and Programs based on a range of 'char' (such program is given in Yashwant Kanetkar).
5) Asked the flow of the complete compilation process in C.
6) Asked to write a Program for deleting a node in Linked List.
7) Consider one switch. Through the switch, we are reading +5V and 0V. But sometimes a spike comes. Then how will you compensate for that spike through software?
8) Which company you are looking for?
9) It's always good to have a job at our hometown right? But our location is Bangalore and its not your hometown, then how?
10) Questions on the architecture of AVR- ATMEGA 128.

Many questions were there, but I remember only these questions, sorry for that. Do C analog, and digital electronics well. Both technical interviews were of 1 hour each and HR was 10 minutes.

Finally, they selected 5 embedded students including me, 5 Android and 1 IOS student. We got a joining letter after 6 days.
