Placement Papers - ECIL

Hello Everyone.

I attended written test for the post of GET (Graduate Engineer Trainee) at ECIL (Electronics Corporation of India Limited). I am B-Tech in computer science. B.Tech from many streams such as ECE, EEE, E&I, CSE, CIVIL & MECHANICAL were eligible. There was a total of 125 posts.

Written test consisted of 50 questions with 2 hours time. The marking scheme was 3 marks for correct answer and -1 for incorrect answer. As I am from computer science I can tell you the main subjects which were there in the exam.

1. 15 to 20 questions were from computer networks and network management and security.
2. Another 15 to 20 questions were from DBMS, OS and Digital Electronics.
3. The paper also consisted of questions on C and Data Structures. Some questions were from compiler design and automata.
4. There were no aptitude questions.

I am waiting for the results to be announced.

I think this information would prove quite useful for preparing for the upcoming ECIL written exam for the post of GET. Forms were out in the last week of august and last date was with in 15 days.
