My name is Vikash Kumar. I am currently pursuing Electronics and Telecommunication at Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur.
Today I am going to share my Interview experience at Cognizant.
Cognizant was conducting its drive for the entire Vidarbha region on 26 and 27 January 2019. It was a web-cam based exam at home. Instructions stated that "use of any unfair means or any.
Sort of cheating may lead to disqualification". Most of the students were disqualified for Cheating.
First Round: - Aptitude Test.
AMCAT conducts the test of Cognizant. The test pattern comprises of:-
1. Quant - 16 questions 16 minutes.
2. Logical - 14 questions 14 minutes.
3. English/Verbal- 25 questions 18 minutes.
4. Automata - 7 questions 20 minutes.
For automata I have solved 1 question correctly and other partially. There is no negative Marking. Solve as many questions as possible to clear the aptitude round. Practice from R S. Aggarwal and try to give some online mock test to get familiar with the test interface.
Results were declared on 5th February 2019 and I was shortlisted for Interview at Ramdeo Baba College of Engineering and Management on 10th February. 141 students were shortlisted for Interview.
Second round: Technical Interview.
Following questions were asked by HR:-
1. Tell me about yourself in short.
2. What is your project?
3. Draw the block diagram of your project and explain the applications of the project.
4. How many languages you know?
5. What is Abstraction and Polymorphism?
6. Do you know about 8085 programming?
7. What are the difference between 8085 and 8086 microprocessor?
8. What are the ram of 8085 and 8086 microprocessor?

I was able to answer most of the questions. There were 2 questions which I was not able to answer. But still I qualified the Technical round. For technical just prepare interview questions asked in C, C++ and Data Structure.
Answer all the questions confidently and if you don\'t know any question then don\'t tell any anything wrong. No one knows everything.
Third round: HR round.
HR was just a formality. No student was rejected in the HR round. They just asked general.
Questions:

And some more general questions were asked. They just check your communication skill and confidence. Just prepare some basic HR question from the internet. That would be enough.

They congratulated that all of you are selected.
