Hello to the reader who might be an aspirant for campusing very soon!
We had CTS visit us on 22nd Sept, 2016 for on-campus recruitment in JGEC. On 22nd we had our Aptitude Test. It was organized by Merittrack.
The format was 2 sections:
Section 1) 30 Logical and Quantitative questions.
Section 2) 25 Verbal questions.
Time was 55 mins with no break in between the two sections. Practise Syllogism, DR, sentence jumbling, patterns, etc for the Logical part. For Verbal you need to be fast and do not be overconfident about Verbal, CTS attaches prime importance to the Verbal section, you have to clear the cutoff for the verbal, it is mandatory for qualifying the aptitude round. For Verbal practises Comprehensions, increase your vocabulary, and be a rapid reader.
Total 180 candidates appeared for the Aptitude out of which around 118 were qualified for the next rounds in our college. I was happy to clear my first round in my first on-campus recruitment experience.
The next round was scheduled on 26th Sept, 2016.
The Interview consisted of two rounds:
I. Technical.
II. HR.
The interview started at 5:30 pm that day and I was called around 8:30 pm. Greeting the interviewer I started mine. He was friendly and asked to introduce myself, and then started asking Departmental questions like difference between AM and FM, Advantages of FM (I am an ECE student), types of antenna and a few others (quite easy ones), next jumped to programming, and asked me types of DS etc, then interrogated about my internships (I had one in NIT Megh) and my Vts. Also asked my marks in Secondary and higher Secondary exams.
I was able to answer all of them quite accurately and then he asked me a few questions on how to manage work colleagues etc and I answered according to my morale. Then he said if I had any queries, I asked him how was my interview if I had any faults, he replied that the HR Team will get back to me!I was overwhelmed and got to know that I already passed my Technical round.
The HR round was easy, I was asked if I had any problems with relocation, to which I said no, and then about my family. The interviewer was quite friendly this time too. Finally, I was told to sign a paper that I agree to their terms and clauses of relocation, etc.
Finally, on 29th Sept we were informed of the results. Total 54 people cleared the Technical and Hr rounds out of 118 in aptitude. I was one of them!
IndiaBix has helped me prepare for the wonderful collection of interview experiences. So I wished to contribute the same once I got selected. All the best to anyone reading this if he/she is going to appear for any campus-recruitment. Just be confident about yourself, check being nervous while writing the paper, and be smart when you appear for the interview. Everything is possible if you are willing to achieve. Cheerio!
