Posted By : Abhishek Singh Rating : +46, -1
Hi, I am from ECE branch, CTS visited our campus SRM University last month.

ROUND 1 (Online test- 3 sec maths, logical and English).

In our college 4500+ students were eligible and they gave the online aptitude test which was conducted by AMCAT. Paper was easy, question of maths were of moderate level which could be easily solved if you have a little practice from before hand. English was easy but you must be prepared with antonyms  and synonyms, but the most important thing was the time factor, as the time was really less so you will have to be quick. In this test 2300 candidates were selected.

ROUND 2 (Technical Interview).

Ques 1- Tell me about yourself?

Be well prepared with this question. Include points like name, where you belong to, academic qualification but most importantly tell them something which you have achieved in your life it could be anything personal or academic wise. Apart from this elaborate about your hobby. Be very confident while answering this question.

Ques 2- It was about training or internship.

Again explain everything in detail what have you learned, what you saw, how the work was done everything. May be the interviewer don't know anything about that company but he checks that whether you have really done the training or not. He may cross question at times.

Ques 3- It was about the minor/major project.

Basically all these question are from your resume. If you have not done anything, no need to mention it in the resume, keep it short and simple. in the project you must prepare the aim, advantages, ckt dig if any, and your role if it is done in a group.

Ques 4- Area of interest?

I wrote microprocessor 8086, so he asked me the difference between 8085 and 8086, and no. of flags in 8086.

Ques 5- Do you know any programming languages?

I am very weak in language so I told him likewise that I can just write very basic programs of C, so he asked me to write a program for addition of two no. So atleast be prepared with the basic programs of C. They may ask for it, only the basics.

ques 6- Then he asked me few question of basic electronics like,

- What is a filter?
- How will you convert AC to DC?
- What is a transducer?
- How a call is made using mobile phone?

Ques 7- Any questions /

Prepare a question before hand. I asked him to give me a feedback that how I had done in the interview to which he replied that it was good.

ROUND 3 (HR round).

This is most fun round, there were two interviewers both were young and jolly. They made me feel very comfortable initially.

Ques 1) What are your plans once you get selected?
Ques 2) What was the last movie you saw?
Ques 3 ) What are the three things you don't like about Delhi? (as I am from Delhi)
Ques 4) What is you weakness?
Ques 5) What was the best present you got on your birthday? (they saw from my resume that my birthday was in the last week).
Ques 6) Do have any problem in relocation?
Ques 7) Do you want to tell us something more about yourself?
Ques 7) Do you have any questions?

So, at last they took a signature in sheet in which certain things about relocation and all was written and they wished me the very best for the future.

Finally I got selected.

P.S. The key is confidence.
