Cognizant Technology Service Interview Experience - Bhubaneswar 28 Sept 2015
1. Online Test (Logical Reasoning 30Q-30min, Verbal Ability 25Q-30min).
The test was conducted by Merit-track Team, it was an online test. The questions were very basics in Logical reasoning, the topics were CODING DECODING, SYLLOGISMS, Arrangements (Simple ones) , Visual Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency there were no questions from quantitative.
So these are the only basic questions you have to go through, it was very easy and since it was non-adaptive so you can go back to previous questions, just be fast and practice ONLINE INDIABIX TEST (Highly Recommended) although the questions which came were much easier. In verbal the normal pattern two passages, parajumbles, sentence corrections (go through the simple concepts of (Parallelism, Subject verb Agreement etc. ).
2. Technical Interview.
It was a little bit DIFFERENT when we were waiting for our chance we heard that stress interview is being taken they mud you up with series of firing questions. See there will be much rumour that this is being ask that is being ask always have patience and peace on your mind. Then my chance came first I made a handshake with him smiling and greeted him for coming to our college he was much gentle although. Then he asked to introduce, then he started with tuff part (Implement all OOPS features in one single JAVA program) it is easy but using inheritance, abstraction, interface in a single program is quite confusing although I confidently started and step by step I also began to rectify my previous mistakes, my approach was good.
Then he started series of rapid fire with questions from (Java Classpath, Why JAVA?, how it is different from other languages, why it is platform independent. Then he got into HTML (FORMS) , HTML5 TAGS (I didn't answered though saying I haven't revised) then some questions on PHP on click tag. Although I answered 80% but rest I smilingly said I haven't revised or is new to me. He asked questions from the things I have mentioned in my resume only. Then he ask me for any questions I asked what more qualities I should gain he smilingly said none you have everything, most important thing you can learn.
3. HR Interview.
He was very gently and happy, from south I guess first I greeted him with a handshake then he asked about a day I answered quite challenging, then he asked about introduction, family background, Why one year drop etc. Asked me about my strength weakness hobby. He asked how much you are dedicated to your hobby, I answered laughingly that sir I can do 'graphic designing' (my hobby) for whole day. He asked why? I answered as we can at instant change our thoughts to a concrete shape.
Then he asked smilingly what would you do if I will make you work for 18 hrs? I said smartly sir first I will break it to modules, research on the time lagging and by smart concept I will definitely find a way. He was impressed asked for relocation then asked that your semester marks is reminding me of something! I answered with smile sir its like growth rate of cognizant as we saw in the talk. He burst with laugh and offered me sweets I first nodded then he pressuringly made me eat saying your interview is over now no formalities then I shake hands with him and got out of the room.
Result got out & I nailed it. Always remember be confident have positive approach and for every question be ready with pen to solve it at least give a confident try.
