Cognizant Technology Solutions Interview Experience - 7th and 8th September 2015, Kolkata
I am sharing my thorough experience of Cognizant Campus Drive at B.P.Poddar Institute Of Management and Technology, Kolkata on 7th and 8th September 2015.
There were 3 rounds in total,
2. Technical Interview.
3. HR Interview.
Our Aptitude test took place on 7th and out of 328 students, 188 were selected. The test was taken by aspiring minds and the test was adaptive, which means if you answer a question right, the next question gets tougher and if you answer it wrong, the level gets easier. Also, you cannot go back to previous question once you have answered it.
The test had three sections -> English(25 in 25 minutes), Quants(16 in 16 minutes) and Logical Ability(14 in 14 minutes).
The English part was pretty tough and last 8 questions were comprehension based. Having a good stock of words is extremely important in order to do well in this section.
The next section was Quantitative Ability. Doing all 16 questions in 16 minutes is a real challenge. You have to learn to manage time in order to complete it. There were questions from Simple and Compound Interest, Time and Distance, Trains, Alligation and Mixtures etc. Just practice all sums from R.S.Aggarwal and you'll be able to do the sums easily. The real challenge is to be FAST.
The next section, Logical Reasoning was easier comparatively.
The results were sent to us by email and we were called for the next two rounds.

One thing I understood that keeping eye contact during an interview is very important. You need to be confident and honest. That's all. AND do your homework well! not just about the company but also about the recent IT trends and whatever you say you like or have mentioned in your CV.
