CTS campus recruitment drive experience 2015.

FIRST ROUND was written round conducted by meritrac.

1) Analytical section.
2) English section.

Analytical section--> Questions on direction sense, image analysis, statement and conclusion, logical deduction.

English section--> Easy question on Reading Comprehension{2-comprehension and 4 question for each comp. } and sentence correction.
Test was very easy compare to amcat and cocubes.

SECOND ROUND was technical round:

I have talked to many of my friends and these are the questions they have asked.

1---> Software engineering :
Prepare stages of SDLC and types of SDLC and uses of each SDLC.

2---->DBMS:
A) Prepare inner join, outer join, self join, cross join, union and try to solve some query base questions.
B) Types of DBMS and uses of each of them.
C) Normalisation 1NF, 2NF, 3NF and BCNF.

3---> C, C++ and write program:

A) Oops vs pop, oops concepts, storage classes.
B) Write a program on sorting algo like bubble sort, insertion. I would suggest you to prepare all sorting algos.
C) Pattern base program. Like print star in triangle shape.
D) Factorial of a number, palindrome, reverse a string and all basic 1st year programs.
E) Binary search tree, link list, stack, queue.

4) Networking : Layer of osi model, tcp/ip model and ipv4 vs ipv6 is enough.
5) Mpi : diagram of architecture of 8086 is enough.
6) Questions based on your projects.

My technical interview questions:

They asked me about my project first.
Then write a query on self join and explain to me what is self join.
Draw architecture of 8086.
Types of joins.
What is static variable, explain me with program.
SDLC life cycle stages.
What is white box testing and black box testing.

THIRD ROUND was HR round :

Prepare for typical HR questions.

Like:
Tell me about your self. Why cognizant? What do you know about cognizant? Why should I hire you? And all that
