Hi Friends, This is Anudeep. I would like to share my interview experience for the position of Programmer Analyst Trainee held on March 29 at Raheja Mindspace, Cognizant, Hyderabad.

Online Aptitude: I took my online aptitude test on Dec 29 at St. Peter's Engineering College, Hyderabad. It was conducted by aspiring minds i.e., AMCAT . The pattern of this exam is same as shared by our friends. To clear I just learned the basic formulas. I got 3 to 4 questions just on relations. Remaining all a bit easy questions and few tough as well.

I got my Result on Jan 10 asking me to come for the Interview. I have been there but I have not given a chance to take interview as I didn't get my M.Tech result at that time.

Why I mentioned this is, without having at least Provisional Certificate they won't allow us. I left feeling sad. I have scanned my certificates and send them to after getting my result . BY God's grace Luckily I got an opportunity on March 29 to attend the Interview.

Technical Round:

Me : Good Morning Sir.

Interviewer : Good Morning. Can you Introduce myself ?
Me : I have introduced myself highlighting my achievements. (This is the right chance to highlight ourselves to prove we are fit for the job)

Interviewer : What's your M.Tech project and what's the technology you have used ?
Me : Explained. Asked few questions in the project. (Friends just be confident enough to answer with a smiling face. Don't bluff them just be straight forward)

Interviewer: What will you use for key value pairs in Java ? (I have mentioned Java,Data Structures,DBMS as my Area of Interest)
Me : I have explained Maps concept in Java Collections.

Interviewer : What's Linked lists ?
Me : Explained about drawbacks of Arrays and told about linked lists.

Interviewer : What is new and delete operators in C++ ?
Me : They are used for Dynamic Memory Alloaction and De-Allocation

Interviewer: Then what's the difference b/w malloc() and new operator ?
Me : Took few seconds and explained about Heap (A data structure where dynamic memeory is allocated) , Asked for Stack and explained it too.

Interviewer gave a small aptitude problem.
A train travelling at 50 kmph from A to B and from B to A at a speed of 25kmph. What's the average speed.
Ans. (2x50x25)/(50+25).

The Interviewer was so Co-operative and was very friendly.
I thanked him and came out. Got my TR result after 5min and was taken to next room for HR.

HR was so cool. She Just asked me a straight forward question. What makes you unique from others. (This was my first question, no self Intro.).

I took few seconds and told about my few achievements and few projects I have done so far in M.Tech and B.Tech.
Then she asked about my family background and asked me if I have any questions.

Finally I thanked and came out.( Friends Always wear a Smile it will surely add up).

On April 6, I have received a mail from Cognizant welcoming me. Now waiting for Joining date.

Friends, don't give up. Life is of Odd and Even days. Surely you'll succeed one fine day. All the best guys.. Thanks to all those who shared their experience.
