Hi, My name is Harshal and I am a Mechanical Engineer. The reason for sharing my experience is because before getting placed I have also read many experiences, which helped me alot. So I want to help you too.

I want to share you my interview experience at CTS. I applied through AMCAT. There was also offcampus drive at PCCOE Pune on 15th Feb, but I thought of giving AMCAT. So I got my ID for CTS through AMCAT.

I think they usually mail 2 days before exams. My batch was at 1.30pm. Exam was online, It consists of 3 sections. we must answer every question and there is no -ve marking. Before this you must fill online form consisting your information marks, college name etc. Please fill your marks exact don't round off 59.9 to 60 etc.

1) Verbal.
2) Quanti
3) Logical reasoning.

Its adaptive test that means I you answer right then difficulty level increases and vice versa.

Verbal was bit simple 25 min 25 questions. Questions were 2 comprehensions, Correct the sentences, synonyms (synonym of Tranquil), antonyms, chronological order. I completed my verbal section in 15 min only. Though this time is not added to other sections. We can't review previous questions.

Quanti was bit though. 16 questions 16 min. Problems on Average, time speed and distance, time and work, etc. Cut off is 10.

Logical reasoning 14 question 14 min. First 5 questions for me were on Coding Decoding on alphabets and finding odd out of them. Also 2 direction related questions and one arrangement question.

All over It was Simple test. You must prefer giving AMCAT. After 2 days I got mail that I have cleared Apti and Interview Id was sent to me. My interview was at CTS Pune. Please take all the marksheets and required documents. Nearly there were 300 students consisting of different states. Dont panic. I reached there at 9 am. And my number came at 3pm. There were 10 to 15 panels sitting there.

Technical Interview:

The sir who was taking interview was very kind to me and really was nicest interviewer who I ever met.

The first question to me was "Why mechanical to Software". I told him how mechanical relates to software in PLM CAD/CAM. He was pleased but he was always trying to say that try in your field you will get job there, But I was continuously saying I want job in software only.

Then he ask me about my Project and what steps you took to complete the project. I told him about my Project whole and sole From initial stage to designing, analysis, experiments ,etc. He said "your project is awesome and something new". I have also written I know basic C. Because 2 days before I have studied a lot about C. He asked me what you know about C , I said basics. Then he asked do you know Loops. I said I can try. Then which program can you do in Loops, I said addition of first 10 numbers. He said Ok. I have written and showed to him. He was like good you know C and also he commented your academics are really good. Then he said to wait.

Then guy from AMCAT said that you are selected for HR. I was happy.

During HR,

They were just checking your location preference, say no to it and say I will go anywhere for Cognizant. And they just check your marks they need 60% in every year. They check it through calculator, so dont bluff them.

I got the mail on 10th Feb saying Congrats you are selected for Cognizant from campus Cognizant.
