Cognizant Technology Solutions Interview Experience - LPU, September, 2014

CTS visited LPU in the month of september. It was on-campus placement drive. Around 1900 students were eligible for the drive.
Eligibility criteria: 60% in B-Tech with maximum of 2 arrears/backlogs.
There were total of 3 rounds.
Online test: This consisted questions from Quants, Logical, Verbal. This was pretty easy round. Practise on your speed. There is time constraint. R. S. Aggarwal is more than enough to clear this round.
Ps: speed matters.
Technical Interview: Around 1000 students are qualified for technical interview. Just be confident. The interview panel first makes you feel comfortable by asking general questions like family background etc. Be thorough with whatever you write in your cv/resume. Be well prepared with your project. While explaining your project, tell interviewer that it was team project, your role in the project, challenges you faced in project, objective of the project, be prepared to write if algorithm of project is asked.
Coming to programming languages basic C, C++ questions will be asked if you are from ece/eee. If you don\'t know any answer you just say that you read it already but you are unable to recollect it. Be prepared with basic electronics questions from semiconductors, diode, applications, transistors etc. Be confident. It is okay if you don\'t answer few questions but show them that you are interested to join the company. If they ask you for questions, Be prepared to ask them. Be humble.
Don\'t ever hurt their ego. Ask questions like where can I see myself 5 years from now in your organization or ask about the latest projects company is working on them.
HR interview: It is just formality. Be calm and confident. Maintain smile. Wish them. Very few were eliminated from this round.
Around 610 students got placed.
