Hello everyone, I am ram and I attend CTS (Cognizant) placements on 26 September.

I Must be very thankful to IndiaBix which helped me a lot during the whole  process and so I decided to return the favor, by sharing my experience with my fellow CTS aspirants.  

First of all CTS was the first company to visit our campus on a slotting sharing basis along with 3 others(Accenture, Infosys & Wipro), this meant that all placement willing students can attend all the four companies and then choose their preference.

CTS Process started  with a pre-placement talk on 24th, CTS allowed students having up to 2 backlogs.

CTS has three rounds:

1) Aptitude.
2) Technical Interview.
3) HR Interview.

Aptitude consists of  two sections Analytical/Logical  Reasoning & Verbal Ability and was conducted by Merittrac.

In contrast to many claims it was very easy and preparation from IndiaBix alone will do for both sections (there is no quants), note that there were many repetitions from previous years, so have a glance at previous year questions.

Don't forget to mention a few lines showing your character and verbosity in the little box that comes with personal detail form before the test, I believe it is very crucial for selection.

Having no prior experience on aptitude tests,we were freaking a bit but the results soon came and there was overwhelming joy as nearly 1100/1700 cleared the round:)))

Next day we were called up for Technical Round.

This round was purely related to our core technicality and  very few non-IT students were asked Programming and about IT stuffs.

I Entered and wished the Interviewer(usually 1-1 interview),he was very kind and nice and asked me to introduce myself(your introduction is mostly what decides whether you are in/out, be sure to address what ever you have achieved over the years  and try completing your intro with strongest project or paper ,so that he may continue from there).

Then he asked me about various projects  and papers that I have done and he was very impressed and stated it verbally " I'm impressed man ".

The next question was Why IT or CTS if you have such skills ...I answered, again with a lengthy answer and then he said it is up to you, this made me confident that I would be selected :)).

The result was announced and we moved to the HR interview, it was different for every one, my interview was a done with in 3-5 minutes and the HR asked me to sign for my willingness to relocate and other declaration, I glanced through the all lines and signed.

Communication skills is the only subject of test in HR round, speak good English and show a positive and confident attitude you'll be through this round.

The questions in HR interview were from the list of FAQ like why IT, Your strength and weakness........Etc.,

The results were out yesterday and I got selected in all the 4 Companies and I'm gonna choose CTS :).

Prepare well, Work hard and Be Confident.
