Placement Papers - CTS

Hi, I\'m Yashwanth and I\'m Here to Share the CTS placement Drive experience with you, I am ECM(Electronics and Computer Engineering) Student, The Branch You Seldom Heard of.
CTS Placement drive consists of 3 rounds

1) Online test.
2) TR.
3) HR.

TR is the elimination round for CTS.
Online test comprises of 2 modules Reasoning and Verbal.

Non Verbal Reasoning is Asked Mostly.
Verbal - Error Correction, Error identification, Sentence Rearrangement, Reading Comprehension,

You Can Get 10 out of 10 in Reading Comprehension.

Around 1200 students participated and 711 were selected. I was one of them. TR was conducted on Next Day.

Questions:

TR : Write a program for swapping two Number without using 3rd variable.
Me : Wrote.

TR : Write a Program to Print a Number table( 2 Table for Example) Upto specified Range(upto 2x5 for Example).
Me : Wrote,But did Some Mistakes.

TR : Write a Query to Retrieve Names of Employees Who have salary between 20k and 30k in a specified month.
Me : Wrote.

TR : Write Query to Display Employees Salaries Without repetition.
Me : Wrote the query using Distinct KeyWord.

TR : Why should Cognizant Hire You?
Me : Told.

He asked me 3 Puzzles and I was able to Answer Only 1 out of them.Answering the Puzzle is not the criteria, But you need to pretend that you are trying to Get the Answer

He then Asked some questions on My Hobbies And I answered them pretty well. This is the point where I Impressed Him( If I am not wrong :p).

TR : Asked me Any queries?
Me : Asked a Question.

After that he said me to leave.
After 15 mins I was called for HR Interview(You will make it to HR only if You qualify TR)
HR : So Yashwanth How was your day?
Me : Its Good Sir and I am very happy to be a part of this Interview!

Hr : Oh! So where are you from?
Me : Vijayawada

HR : Tell Me about Vijayawada?
Me : TOLD.

HR : Why Cognizant?What is Your Long term Goal? In how Many years You want to achieve that?
Me: Told

HR then asked me about my Hobbies and I answered them the same way I answered them to TR. He asked Me to Sign on the Paper And Asked me If I Had any Questions.

I Asked him the Same question I asked the TR And then He Said Me to Leave.

Results were Announced after two days And I was selected.

So To Crack Cognizant You need to do very well in TR and Your Communication Skills Must be Very Good When You are answering the Questions Posed by HR.
