I am gonna share my experience with CTS which had visited my college on 24th and 25th September 2014. I am sharing this because there are a lot of rumors about this company that it always recruits in a heavy manner. Wherever it goes, but there is always an exception, and BIT MESRA became the witness of that exception.

Around 1100 students did appear for the process. The test and PPT was conducted in 4 different slots. The test was conducted by Aspiring Minds. The test was divided into 3 sections:-

1. English - 25 ques. (25 minutes).
2. Quantitative - 16 ques. (16 minutes).
3. Logical - 14 ques. (14 minutes).

Logical will be quite easy while English and quant will be of medium level. Give stress on time management.

After the test, results were announced around 10 pm. They had selected 600 students for the 1st round of interview. I was also selected. They had asked us to report in the morning at 8.30 a.m. I was called for interview around 10.00 a.m.

As I went inside, I greeted him and he asked me to sit down. The interview proceeded in this style :-

HR :- You are from ECE then why do u want to go in IT?
Me :- Sir, Because I like programming, and I explained him in details what do I know in programming.

HR :- Write a star pattern (pyramid type) programming.
Me :- I wrote the program and explained him the logic (as he asked me to do so).

HR :- Control the electrical devices of the room.
Me :- I did so using a microcontroller and made the basic circuit of that (as he had asked me to do so).

HR:- Difference between microprocessor and microcontroller, what are your hobbies, and some HR questions.
Me :- I replied each and every question with confidence.

Then, HR told me to go and wait for the results of this interview.

After around 30 mins, my name was called for the HR interview. I went inside. It was a lady will be of medium level, give stress on time management.

After the test, results were announced around 10 pm. They had selected 600 students for the 1st round of interview. I was also selected. They had asked us to report in the morning at 8.30 a.m. I was called for interview around 10.00 a.m.

She asked me many questions. They are :-

1. How many backlogs do u have? (I had zero)
2. Was there any study gap between 12th and B.E.? (I had 1 year)
3. What are your hobbies?
4. Do you miss your home?
5. Do you go cinema hall to watch movies with your friends?
6. Which movie did you watch recently?
7. Will you use any wrong means to get promotion? If yes, then why? If not, then why not?
8. Are you willing to relocate?

Then she asked me to sign on a paper and told me "probably we are going to hire you" see you soon at cognizant.

Around 285 students were selected for HR interview out of which 273 students got placed. Luckily, I was also selected. So I will suggest you to not take CTS for granted. Because in our college the selection rate was only 25%.

Best of luck.
