I attended CTS drive it was through JKC (Jawahar Knowledge Center). I would like to thank JKC and our college for this wonderful opportunity. I am an IT student and sharing my experience. There are three rounds in the recruitment process actually.

1. Written test.
2. Technical interview.
3. HR interview.

Written test as it is the first round it is very crucial and important to clear it. Maximum elimination is done in first round so be prepared for it. First round had 2 sections.

1. Logical reasoning 30 questions 30 minutes.
2. Verbal ability 25 questions 25 minutes.

The topics covered are syllogisms, implications, picture reasoning, data interpretation mainly and 1 or questions from series, blood relations, direction sense. In verbal ability the topics covered are reading comprehensions (2 one was easy other was difficult) , identifying correct or incorrect sentences from the given options, spotting errors and formation of paragraph from the given sentences. Practise is very important to clear first round.

Out of a total of some 800 to 900 students only 139 could clear first round and in that thankfully I was included.

On 26th we attended the interviews. They will have your profile with them and will be calling your names constantly you need to respond them if you are present. They called my name too. After going there to my surprise they conducted JAM which was unexpected. It was a group of 20 he gave us freedom to select topic of our own choice and gave us a time of 2 minutes and started. My turn was last but one so had time to prepare. He just allowed people to speak for 30 seconds and made his decision. I spoke about importance of ethics in life and spoke for around 25 to 30 seconds and he asked me stop. People with basic english speaking skills were selected they did not wanted excellent speaking skills they looked at basic skills. Out of 20, 16 were selected and thankfully I was one among them. Then started technical interview after waiting for 1 and a half hour. The following is my experience.

Initially the interviewer was not present in the panel when I entered the panel I was waiting for him to come. Then he came and I stood and wished him good afternoon and he asked me to sit.

Interviewer: Why C++ is not there in your profile (I wrote only C, Java in my resume).
Me: Sir I don't like C++ and don't have grip over it so did not mention it.

Interviewer: Why so?

Me: I replied C was allotted a complete year where as 6 months for C++ so did not spend much time over it. If I spend little time over it I can learn it easily. He was satisfied with my answer.

Interviewer: Which one is your major project (I mentioned 2 projects in my resume).
Me: I showed him the one.

Interviewer: He asked many questions related to my project (please be prepared with your project it is a mandatory question).
Me : Explained everything clearly.

Interviewer : Asked me questions related to hibernate (It is a technology used for our project) and we used it.
Me : Explained everything related to it and why we choose it. He was satisfied.

Interviewer : Tell me me about servlet context?
Me : Told whatever I know did not knew much about it.

Interviewer: How to add bean property to a JSP?
Me : Told we can embed directly using scriptlet. He asked other ways to do so. I explained him what ever I know.

Interviewer : What are prepared and callable statements in JDBC and why we use it?
Me : Told.

Interviewer : What are the tags present in web. Xml?
Me : Told.

Interviewer : Explain life cycle of servlet?
Me : Told.

Interviewer : Write the basic syntax of select statement?
Me : Wrote.

Interviewer : Can we have other variations to this?
Me : I said group by having clause.

Interviewer : Why we use group by having?
Me : Explained.

Interviewer : What is cartesian join?
Me : Told.

Interviewer : What is outer join?
Me : Told.

Interviewer : What is the keyword used to remove redundancy ?
Me : Said Distinct.

Interviewer : He said thank you you may leave.
Me : Thank you.

Guys he asked me 2 questions which I did not knew the answer so I said directly I don't know did not tell wrong answers. Whatever you write in the resume from that only they will ask questions so If you do not know anything please don't write it in your resume and be confident while you are answering and maintain eye contact to the person. Don't sound dull answer all the questions with energy and enthusiasm. This is all about technical round and many got eliminated here so you need to be very strong technically to clear the interview, you need to have through knowledge basic skills will not help and again it depends upon panel.

One lady came and told me wait for the next round. I was happy listening this and was waiting for Hr. Waited for a long time and made many friends in the mean time.

Finally called me for HR. He introduced himself first.

Hr : What are your hobbies?
Me : Blogging.

Hr : What do you post in the blog?
Me : Said C programming interested in it stated blogging so that it reach to many people so started it.

Hr : How can I know that you only posted in the blog?
Me: Said you can see author profile in the blog.

Hr : Is your blog active now?can I see it.
Me : Said yes and wrote the blog link on the paper.

Hr: How many people are following your blog?
Me : Said 20 in google and 50+ on facebook.

Hr : Where you see yourself in 2yrs?
Me : Said want to work for the company and become developer.

Hr : In case if given testing or any other will you do it?
Me : I said yes.

Hr : Any questions?
Me : Asked duration of training.

Hr : 4 months.
Me: Thank you sir.

This was the Hr experience. Please answer confidently and maintain eye contact.

After 1 week results we uploaded on JKC website and I was selected. I was very happy seeing my name. Hard Work is very important and it will give you fruits one day or the other. So don't lose hopes. All the best prepare well.
