Hello guys.

This is AK I gave the written for CTS on 20th March.

CTS - recruitment process consists of three rounds:

1. Online Test.
2. Technical Interview.
3. HR Interview.

In written test there were 2 sections (55 questions- 55 marks- 55 mins).

1. Analytical section (30 questions).
2. English section (25 questions).

The online test was medium in level with the analytic s section had questions from:

- Blood relations.
- Crypt.
-  Series.
- Figure based etc questions were medium in level and one can do even without preparation.

English had the maximum spot the series questions and identify wrong sentences 2 passages.

The results came on 22nd after 2 days and i was one of the people who qualified it total of 220+ students qualified it with nearly 550+ attendance.

Technical Interview:

My interview was on 29th at same place over 15 panelists with 5 hr were there.

We were asked to sit in a room and were asked to go into the interview hall by some group of people who were from the cognizant.

TR - Introduce yourself?
Me - Told.

TR - Tell me about your project by making flowchart
Me - Told.

TR - Why don't you join your fathers profession ?
Me - Told.

Then he looked through my resume and mark sheet.

TR - Question on Data structures for tree and its use.
Me - Told.

TR - He asked me to write a program.
Me - I wrote the program it took me 5 min to write it as it was tough but he was satisfied with my program.

TR - One puzzle to find the path.
Me - I was not able to tell him properly I just tried to guess it on paper and he asked me to stop even I was not able to make it.

He shifted to database.

TR - What is DBMS?
ME - Told.

TR - What is primary and foreign and candidate key?
Me - Told.

TR - Asked me to write query(simple query of data extraction another query of join join query).
Me - Told (I was not confident but still tried to give him and impression that I was while I was forwarding the paper on which I wrote my query my heart was beating fast).

Finally he asked me any questions on your side. I asked his name.

After that I greeted him and went out of room.

Finally we came to know the results just after 5 min of my TR I was one of the people who got selected for HR.

The HR was damn easy and you can crack it if u have sense and can have answers on spot and can handle pressure.

HR - Tell me something which is not in your resume?
Me - Told.

HR - Why not public sector as a job area?
Me - Told.

HR - How many interviews u had earlier and why did u get rejected there?
Me - Told.

HR - Why cognizant?
Me - Told.

Hr - Tell me about your hometown.
Me - Told.

Finally she asked me any questions I asked his name and requirements one should have to survive the competition in market.

Finally we got the mail on 31st march. And fortunately I was one of the people who got the mail.
My DOJ tentative is in dec to march.

I got rejected at many places before but I think God had CTS for me and I must admit one thing though not prepared well the thing that helped me was my English and good basic knowledge about my projects and subjects and confidence. The thing is that you should answer confidently and have your base strong.

Be ready for awkward questions because I had many of them in my TR and had the questions one would not even think of coming for CS grad but be confident.

About resume make one think sure that have those things in your resume that you know remove all things which you think you cannot handle because the larger you try to show off with resume content larger would be questions.
