Hello guys.

This is Suryam, studying B-Tech ECE in RGUKT, IIIT-Basar.

It's my pleasure to share my experience with you. Firstly, I thank to my college and JKC (Jawahar Knowledge Center). And also I thank to Indiabix.com for providing excellent material for freshers.

CTS - recruitment process consists of three rounds:

1. Written Test.
2. Technical Interview.
3. HR Interview.

In written test there were 2 sections (55 questions- 55 marks- 55 mins).

1. Analytical section (30 questions).
2. English section (25 questions).

Pattern was simple and every one will qualify if we do some practice on model questions. On 5th April 2014 we got mail from JKC that we have to attend the interview process on 7th April 2014 at the same place.

As per my experience it is not only important what you say but it also important how to say. My technical interview was conducted at 08:00 pm.

Here I'm explaining my Technical Interview experience.

Me: Good evening sir.

TR: Good evening my dear. Take your seat.

TR: Tell me about yourself.
Me: I said. And while I was speaking he observed my confidence through my voice. I told very confidently about myself.

TR: Explain your project.
Me: I explained. He asked me to write code for my project. My project code consists of 200 line programming and I have been working on it. So I told this to tr and I have drawn flow chart of program implementation and explained clearly.

TR: Good.

TR: What is the difference between diode and BJT?
Me: Explained theory behind that concept and it took nearly five minutes.

TR: What you know about IEEE?
Me: Explained.

TR: Write a program to print prime number using pointer concept.
Me: I wrote.

TR: Write a c program to print Fibonacci series of given range?
Me: I wrote and explained logic. He tried to confuse me but I explained logic clearly and he agreed.

TR: Write a c program for Floyd's triangle.
Me: I wrote.

TR: Explain briefly about string concept in c language.
Me: told the importance of strings. Explained the difference between scanf library function with getchar() function. And I told everything about strings. He impressed with my answer.  (Let Us C - Yashwant Kanetkar is best reference book for C language basics).

TR: three logical questions.
Me: I solved those questions.  (Don't say I don't know and I am unable to solve. Try to explain basic ideas and approaches regarding those questions. Shankunthala devi puzzles is best reference book for solve these type of questions).

TR: I have done with you suryam. Do you have any question to me?
Me: I asked him to give feedback on my interview.

TR: Suryam you have good technical skills. Your confidence levels, eye contact and the way in which you are explaining the answers is good. I think people from AP IIIT will have good technical skills and I am very satisfied with your technical skills. We should appreciate government contributions towards IIIT's. You are selected and you may go for HR interview. ALL THE BEST.

I am so happy because he praised my institute and recognized talent of rural people from ANDHRA PRADESH. I called for HR interview and it was conducted at 09:30 pm.

HR INTERVIEW:

Me: Good evening sir.

HR: Take your seat.

HR: Do you know about Tokyo country?
Me: I never expected this question in HR interview and that to as my first question. I was shocked at that moment and tensed little bit. I said that it was capital city of Japan country and explained some similar things like our capital city.

HR: have your college approved by AICTE?
Me: Truly speaking I am not aware of this thing. I said that AICTE official committee recently visited our campus and proceedings are going on.

HR: So you don't know up to date information about your institute.
Me: No sir. I know. Only few days back, that committee visited our campus.

HR: OK.
HR: What is the criteria for selection process of your campus?
Me: One should be among the top one percentile merit list in SSC board exam conducted by ANDHRA PRADESH and said something like this.

HR: As you are from ECE department, I would like to ask one question to you. What I need to do if I want to change operating system in my mobile device? Any hardware or software requirements necessary?

Me: luckily I know the answer because my cousin working as a mobile hardware and software engineer in Karbon mobiles, Hyderabad. I used to discuss those topics with my bro. This was the first question in Hr interview explained by me very confidently. I knew exact answer because I had practical experience with that concept. But HR was little bit nervous and not agreeing with my answer. It took nearly 8 minutes to explain. Lastly HR said it's ok and leave it with nervous face.

HR: I have done with you. You can leave now.
Me: I took the opportunity to shake his hand. I gently shake his hand with my smiling face and full confidence. I left the room.

I was the second person from the last. Some of my friends said that they were saturated with requirement and that's why they introduced rejection panel in HR round. I gave up all hopes on my HR interview by hearing this. But please don't believe in gossips. We will not have any rejection panels at all. Everything is dependent on our performance.

- They will check whether you have self-confidence or not.  (Introduction and putting some confusion in middle of programs).
- They will check one's basic knowledge regarding their domain.
- They will check basic programming skills.
- They will check your problem solving skills through logical questions (Puzzles).
- They will check whether you have ability to manage stress or not.

(By not agreeing your answers although they are correct answers for their questions).

On 18/03/14 I was blessed to be one among the CTS list of selected candidates. I feel fortunate enough to be a part of one of the topmost the most admired IT companies of the world.
