Hi my name is Bavana.

I attended CTS off campus drive through AMCAT. I applied for AMCAT in December 2013 and got a mail on 10th March regarding my AMCAT test. They do inform 2 days prior the test. Exam was on 12th march in Chennai at some college center.

It's online test paper. It's very easy only you need to manage time and you can't modify answer so select correct answer.

ENGLISH (25 questions And 25 mins). As I am good in verbal so many answer were right and passage was essay last 7 question is on passage. I completed English in 15 min only. If you are good in English then no need to worry lot.

Antonyms, Synonyms, Two Passages, Correction Of Sentence, Fill In The Blanks.

2). APTITUDE (16 questions And 16 mins).

First 5 questions are on simplification, learn L.C.M, G.C.D, Divisibility test and remaining are on Time and Work, Profit And Loss, Percentages, Permutations and combinations, Probability, Trains, Averages, S.I, C.I.

3 or 4 questions are tricky and remaining all are easy. Prepare RS Aggarwal ITS MORE THAN ENOUGH.

3). REASONING (14 questions And 14 mins).

Blood Relations, Directions, Series Completion is on alphabets, Theme Detection, Data Sufficiency, arguments and statements.

I managed time easily in all sections.

Next day on 13th march at 10 pm I got mail that I have cleared the test and my interview was scheduled on 15th march at 9 am in Chennai at CTS Company.

I took resume, 10th, 12th, B-Tech marks list and OD Xerox.

In technical, interviewer saw my resume. As I am from cse branch I kept C, C++, JAVA, and DBMS in my resume.

The interview went on like this.

Interviewer: Tell me about yourself.

Me: Started answering and got stopped in middle. He told it's enough and asked next qs.

Interviewer: Write a program in any language to create employee details and get employee name whose salary is above some amount in some file and connect this file to DBMS to store file in database.

Me: Wrote program in C using struct and made file, wrote dbms code to store file, but unable to make connection from c to dbms.

Interviewer: How to create table in bbms?

Me : Wrote create query.

Interviewer: what is primary key and foreign key?

Me: told.

Interviewer: What are domain constraints?

Me: told.

Interviewer: Write program to select largest and smallest number in give list.

Me : wrote in c and explained code.

Interviewer: He saw my btech marks list and started asking questions on different subjects which I studied.

What is OS?

Me: told.

Interviewer: What type of OS you know?

Me: told.

Interviewer: Write similar commands in windows and Linux.

Me : told I can't recall any now.

Interviewer: what is CD (compiler design?).

Me: told.

Interviewer: what does a compiler do?

Me: told.

Interviewer: what do you know about software engineering.

Me: told about SDLC.

Interviewer: Explain any SDLC model.

Me: told.

Interviewer: how do we do testing?

Me: explained.

My interview was little tough though I explained clearly. Normally questions will be on subjects which you kept in resume but he asked questions on all subjects seeing my marks list. Other candidate's interview was easy, they only asked on related subjects which they kept in resume, so be cool. Learn fibonacci, factorial, largest and smallest number, palindrome, basic programs.

For CSE branch prepare languages and have a brief knowledge on CD, OS, STM, DBMS, SE.

After I got called for H.R I think I cleared Technical.

H.R was good and casual.

1. I was 2012 batch passout so he asked what you did in last 2 years.

2. Asked some qs relating to 1st answer.

3. What does you know about CTS.

4. Are you ok with relocation.

5. Do you have any qs for me? " I asked about his experience and how was it in CTS.

After that I was told to wait in hall. Then got called for original certificate verification and told they will send a mail in a week.

On 18th march I got mail from cognizant that I got selected. All family and friends are soo happy for getting a job in mnc, job hunt has completed now. I will join in cts after 2 weeks.

Wish you all good luck for everyone who is waiting for a job.
