CTS Interview Experience - Galgotias University Greater Noida - 8th feb 2014

Posted By : Aeshna Rating : +57, -0
Hey everyone.

I know I am sharing this experience a little late but I still have lot to tell you about my interview and post interview experience. :-).

I was called to Galgotias university for the CTS interview through Amcat. Was asked to carry the call letter print out and all the documents (Originals+xerox copies) along with me. Plus 2 passport sized photographs and any govt ID card/College ID.

I was asked to reach there at 8.30 am and I was there by then. Amcat staff was checking the docs and took the xerox copies of all the originals.

*Make sure you carry your original docs and xerox copies as without them you won't be entertained and will be asked to leave*.

There were around 6-700 candidates so my document checking took place around 10 am and after that we have to go to the auditorium and wait for our name to be called for an interview.

As I have gone through the comments on Indiabix, I was expecting a written test but not an interview. Alas! there was no written test. Now why no written test. ? because we were called thru amcat and amcat has already taken our test earlier. So, I got panicked as I was not prepared for the interview. I started recalling all the concepts and counting points of my project.

After that I was called for an interview. The interviewer has all your academic records through amcat.

-I was asked about myself first.

A: Tell your name, the city you belong to, your schooling, your family, your siblings, your project.

- Then my project details.

A: I explained each and everything about my project like where it was done, on what technologies, why it was made, what was my role. He was quite impressed by this.

- Few more questions related to project.

- Asked about Normalization.

- Validations.

Everything was basic and related to what you have written in your resume. Be confident and impressive.

Then asked me to wait outside as he has to pen down everything about me and my interview on a piece of paper and then he sent it further.

After 5 mins, I was informed that I am through the technical round and have to go for HR round.

HR round was taken by 2 professionals.

- They told me if I am send to chennai ?

A: I said I am flexible about the location and have no issues. If you are asked about it say this only. As you will be asked to fill your location pref in post interview mails and then you can give your own preferred location.

- About cognizant. ?

- Then I asked few questions like training period will be for how many months ?

They said it will last for 8-12 Weeks.

Then they said thank you and See you at cognizant. Which made me clear about my selection. :-D.

After that on feb 13, I got a mail from cognizant and was asked to submit a scanned copy of all my documents before feb16. Which I sent them on a very next day.

Then on feb17, I received a mail to register myself at cognizant onboarding portal (as I am being hired by them) where I have to submit all my personal, qualification, project details. Here they will also ask about your location preference.

Lets See, What location I get now.

Hope This info will help you. Bless you and all The best!.
