Cognizant Technology Solutions Interview Experience - Hyderabad, January 4, 2014

I have attended the cognizant off campus drive through AMCAT it started off with a written exam in which there was 3 sections English-25 aptitude-16 reasoning-14. Questions were based on passages, hcf, lcm, probability, directions, seating arrangement etc after 10 days I got a mail to attend the technical interview at cognizant Hyderabad.
About 600 came for the interview we were given numbers and accordingly they were sending the aspirants for technical interview I waited for almost 2 hrs and finally my turn came.
ME: Excuse me mam.
INTERVIEWER: Come in.
ME: Good morning mam.
INTERVIEWER: Good morning take your seat.
ME: Thank you mam.
INTERVIEWER: Tell me about yourself and about your project briefly.
ME: Blah blah (told about my project perfectly she raised some qns on my project I was able to pull it off).
INTERVIEWER: Rate yourself in c and java out of 5 (as I mentioned c and java in my resume).
ME: 2.5/5.
INTERVIEWER: Being IT student you have rated only 2.5 why is it so.
ME: Told some story that I am still learning blah blah.
INTERVIEWER: Explain oops concepts.
ME: Told.
INTERVIEWER: Explain the concept of linked list (she gave me a pen and a piece of paper).
ME: Told.
INTERVIEWER: Explain SDLC life cycle and models.
ME: I know only three models mam.
INTERVIEWER: No problem carry on.
ME: Told.
INTERVIEWER: I am done with the interview do you have any questions to ask.
ME: No mam.
INTERVIEWER: You can leave now.
After waiting for 10 minutes they told me that you have been selected for hr round and I was told to submit the xerox copies of all my academics again waited for 2 hours for hr interview finally they called me.
HR: Come in take your seat.
ME: Thank you mam.
HR: Please tell me about yourself apart from your qualification, hobbies, family.
ME: Told about my passions, interests about my childhood blah blah.
HR: Are you ready to relocate.
ME: Yes.
HR: Ok, you may leave now.
ME: Thank you mam.
They told us that they will mail the candidate who are selected within 10 days.
Hoping a positive response from cognizant.
