Hello everyone! I am kavya. pursuing my final year BCA. I would like to share my CTS interview experience with you. 2 days before attending the interview, I read d interview experience of others in INDIABIX which gave me more confidence as I knew what TCS recruiters actually look for. They just look for your confidence and most importantly, your COMMUNICATION SKILL.

There were 3 rounds:

3)Communication (yes.. not HR round!!).

They first gave a PPT.. started boasting about their company! ;) concentrate here because you'll get many points in case they ask u about their company in the 3rd round.

After 1hr of ppt, we were sent to write the aptitude test. The best part about aptitude was there were no quantitative analysis questions at all! only REASONING questions and verbal ability questions. believe me, you can crack it easily if you have prepared for reasoning questions well.. go through syllogism, coding(not programming! just Google it if you don't know what it means), diagrammatic reasoning and compulsorily there will be either bar chart questions or pie chart questions or a simple chart(table) questions. For verbal I had not prepared anything.. even then I could crack it. questions were that simple.

Out of 200, almost 150 cleared this round.

2nd round was technical. for me it was like an HR round.

He: Good afternoon kavya. Take your seat.
Me: Good afternoon sir. Thank you.

He: So, had your lunch?
Me: No sir. Not yet. What about you sir?

He: I too didn't have kavya. So tell me about urself.
Me:  (I seriously don't remember what I told at that moment. I became very nervous and said something bla bla blaa!).

He: Are you nervous kavya? (finally he caught me! : ().
Me: S sir. This is d 1st time that's why.

He: Don't feel nervous. Because recruiters mainly look for your confidence. Not only in CTS. Everywere.
Me: Oh ok sir. Now I am confident! (we both laughed).

He: Tell me about your project.
Me: I told that mine was the best proj. Bla bla blaa.

He: (very impressed) oh very good kavya. How do you rate your vb skills out of 5.
Me: 4 sir.

He: Good. And what do you kno about SQL?
Me: I know to write queries. I can write any kind of complex query (this was over confidence I guess!).

He: Wonderful! tell me 5 good things about bangalore.
Me: Its the garden city, its the silicon city, people are friendly here. Hmmm.

He: Good good. Are you ok with night shifts also? and are you ready to shift to anywer in india?
Me: S sir not a problem.

He: Ok kavya you can leave.

Out of 150, 90 or odd cleared this round.

Next was communication round.

He: Good afternoon kavya. Take your seat.
Me: Good afternoon sir thank you.

He: So kavya. Had your lunch?
Me: No sir. You had?

He: No kavya. Xplain me about the soft skill training which you have mentioned in your resume (he started speaking in US accent suddenly!).
Me:  (told something. Made sure that my English doesn't go wrong).

He: Tell more.
Me:  (ufff told something again).

He: OK good. Are you OK with all shifts?
Me: S sir.

He: OK you can leave.
Me: OK. Have a nice day sir! (I saw him feel impressed after I told that).

He: You too have a nice day kavya.

That's it.. after 2 days they sent the results to my college. 9 of them were selected. I was one of them!.

It was the most happiest day of my life :).
