CSC (Now DXC Technology) Interview Experience - NOIDA 21-03-2017

Hey Guys.

I am here to share my experience of CSC (now DXC Technology) placement drive.

It was a pool campus drive at Delhi of around 200+ students from different colleges shortlisting was done through cocubes. The drive held for 2 days 21-22 march 2017. Mine was on 21-03-2017.

There were 3 rounds:

1. Communication round.
2. HR round.
3. Technical round.

There was no aptitude round as students were shortlisted through cocubes score.

The reporting time was 9:00 am we were divided in groups there were total 13 groups, in each group there were 15-20  students. The pre placement talk started at 10:00 am it was for  30 mins they discussed about company locations in all over India, opportunities in CSC, bond agreement, compensation and all such stuff.

After that 1st round started Communication round which was GD Round in which we were individually given topic and time to share our thoughts. CSC is mainly looking in your communication and how well you are confident at. No time was given to prepare.

Topics were like :
"Reservation system",
"Women empowerment",
"School system in India-practical/theory",
and my topic was"Gandhi ji born or made leader" and with whom they were not satisfied they gave another chance there topic was "favourite movie".

Just speak with confidence and right attitude with no grammatical errors.

Results were announced after 5 mins in my group 8 were selected out of 17. I was also selected.

Then we were asked to fill a form with our details such as family info, academics, have you ever worked with CSC, or know any one in CSC and attach copy of resume along with.

The 2nd round which was HR round began at 3 pm. There were 2 panels and shortlisted candidates were called one by one. Same HRs who took our Communication round.

My HR interview went for about 7-10 minutes. Following are the questions asked.
HR: Tell me about yourself and your family.
ME: Told

HR: Are you ready to relocate?
ME: Yes (you have to say yes)

HR: In which technology you want to work?
ME: I said I would be okay to work in any(as if I would have told a particular technology my further questions would be entierly based on that)

HR: Academics and if any backlog?
ME: Told.

HR: Any questions?
ME: Asked about me entire performance?

HR: (smiled)and said you will get to know shortly.
ME: (smiled back) and asked when the results will be announced?

HR: She said by evening or tomorrow.
thank you.

The results were announced after a day and my name was in the list and almost everyone was selected from HR round. We were called to  CSC Noida office next morning at 10 am.

We reached and were asked to wait at reception,we waited there for an hour long and also were given I-cards. Next we were taken to a room and TI started at 12pm.

There were 3 panels we were called randomly. The interview of 1st three students went for 15-20 mins max. Next I was called.

In my panel there were 2 HRs. I walked very confidently(nervous inside) towards the cabin and asked May I come in sir.

He said yes and offered me to sit. He was around 40-45 years old and other was around 30's.

1. About yourself?including academics and projects>
2. Explain your major?(study everything about your project)
3. Minor project? and asked was the project implemented and did it worked?
4. About summer internship projects.
5. What was your role in project done during internship?
6. Questions on C concepts.( array in C)
C++ (oops, inheritance, polymorphism etc) just be clear with basics.
7. As I am from EEE, He asked why I want to join IT?
Ans: I knew this question wil be asked, I was already  prepared for it and explained with confidence.

8. Asked whether I know about DBMS have I ever heard?
Ans: I told the definition and also made clear that I wasn't introduced to this subject ever and know nothing more.

9. What is OS?
10. My fav subjects?
11. About relocation?anywhere in India or outside India? whether my parents would have any problem?
12. What are your hobbies?
13. Asked me 2 situational questions, in which I have to show my flexibility, team lead and presence of mind.

14. What you know about CSC ?

Do search the company website while preparing as I didn't searched so I knew nothing but still managed to answer. you have any questions?

Ans: I asked him my status about my interview and what I should improve in order to join your organisation?(this question developed that I was so interested to join them)

He said you are very interested to join IT and do brush up you concepts a little more.

and results will be forwarded to HR soon :)

The starting interviews went shorter 20-25 mins, but after 5-6 students they started taking time around 1 hr per student. And the level also went difficult.

NOTE: Know everything you have mentioned in your resume, questions will be from there only. Stay confident, try to answer fluently and carry that attitude with you.

Results were announced after a week and I was selected, that moment was priceless. About 10 students were selected from my college and  25-30 students overall.

Being a EEE/ECE student you get less opportunities and all you can do is work hard and hard and grab the opportunity. There is no 2nd chance.

Hope my experience may help you to get into CSC. I will see you there. :) :)
