                Hello dear Aspirants,
CSC CAMPUS DRIVE @BVRIT NARSAPUR 20 NOVEMBER 2015.
Now, I would like to share my experience with you, which I had during interview. CSC selection procedure comprises 4 rounds.
1. WRITTEN TEST (offline).
2. GD.
3. TECHNICAL HR.
4. GENERAL HR.
1st Round:
Test began at 9:30am in the morning as it is pen and paper test so we need to mark the answers in omr sheet. It consists of 100 questions which were categorized into three sections section A, section B, section C.
Section A consists of 40 aptitude, reasoning and verbal.
Section B consists of technical subjects questions.
Section C comprises one general essay of 150 words. Time allotted was 90 min.
By god\'s grace there was NO NEGATIVE MARKING. Totally 300 students attempted the test,
Questions are from topics:
(A) Puzzles/Time and Work.
(B) Probability.
(C) Speed and Distance.
(D) Syllogisms.
(E) Combinations.
(F) Synonyms and Antonyms.
(G) Preposition Types.
Guys, trust me R. S. Agarwal and IndiaBIX model papers are pretty enough to crack the 1st round. Following are the questions appeared during my test.
1. If 6 is 24% of a number then what is 40% of the same number?
2. The value of {(.87)3+ (.13)3+.87*.39}0.5.
3. How many times in a day, are the hands of a clock in straight line but opposite in direction?
4. If A can do a piece of work in 5 days that B can do in 6 days and C can do in 2 days, how long would the job take if they worked together to complete it?
5. A student\'s mark was wrongly entered as 83 instead of 63, due to that average marks for the class got increased by half now what is the strength of the class?
Verbal part is quite easy there are only 5 to 6 questions like prepositions, synonyms, antonyms. In Section B critical subjects are OOPS and CORE JAVA, DBMS (Normalization, Storage types, Relations) OS (CPU scheduling, Disk allocation, File systems) , DLD, Computer Networks (Lan, Wan, Topology, Layers) Output type questions from C. 2 to 3 questions are from electronics background as am from CSE department I actually thought I couldn\'t solve those circuit based things but trust me it was not much harder questions are from basic level. Section C is followed by an general essay like Hard work Vs Luck, opinion on implementing dress code in engineering colleges.
This was my first round. Then we had a pre placement talk (ppt) for 45 minutes they discussed about company locations in all over india, opportunities in CSC, bond agreement, compensation and all such stuff. Then they announced first round results everyone was so eager to know their results, Finally 282 students out of 300 are selected for second round OMG! it was quite impressive figure for the recruiters and luckily I was one among them. But, I was a bit scared because people who appeared for 1st round are almost selected for second round competition level was at peaks. Anyway, I thought to give my 100% best.
Next round was Group discussion, 282 students were divided into 19 batches, each batch consists of 15 members and my batch was of 8 girls and 7 boys. Ours GD panel number is 6. We were given the topic "INTERNET USAGE AMONG CHILDREN" it is quite easy topic so I thought that I can definitely clear this round. After 2 minutes of brainstorming about the topic monitor asked us to start the discussion, one of my friend took initiative and started the discussion I was really waiting for chance as soon as she completed almost 3 to 4 members of my friends started arguing, being as a girl I don\'t have a loud voice, I was really disappointed that why am I not delivering even though I have valid points 3 minutes passed away discussion turned out very clumsy and I didn\'t even speak for once I was actually broken that, everyone was shouting as it is very easy topic panel member was really annoyed with our discussion after few seconds I realized one thing and shouted as much as I can "GUYS, THIS IS A GROUP DISCUSSION NOT A DEBATE" everyone was so calm monitor was bit happy and again they started shouting as we are running out of time I concluded the discussion. After 6 minutes of discussion everyone are supposed to give self introduction and speak 1 min of their own topic individually. On the spot he announced the result 9 members got selected for technical HR and I was one among them. Key point to remember to clear GD is Be confident, speak authoritatively and politely, must and make an eye contact with your friends. These are enough to clear GD.
Third round was Technical interview, I was really tensed so many of my friends got eliminated in second round, after a huge gap of 4 hours I got my turn to attend T.I I was so tired and almost sleepy but I boosted my confidence levels and entered into interview. I felt really so happy that the person who came as monitor for GD he was the panel member, as soon as he saw me at first glance he smiled and I smiled back. He remembered my name and asked me to take my seat. I handed him my resume as resume if reflection of yourself so, build an impressive resume and a unique one. He examined very clearly and asked me few questions about my internship which I had done in my 3-2 semester, I explained him very clearly and he seems to be bit interested, secondly he asked about my mini project I pictorially represented flow of execution and all such stuff. He was really impressive and asked layers in networking, commands and queries in DBMS. I answered all the questions which he had asked me. Next he asked me few questions related to hardware (Motherboard, ram, rom) out of 3 I answered only 2 question because am not so good at that I didn\'t even try to pretend as if I know the answer because, my motto is rather than speaking nonsense it\'s better to be honest, he asked me latest android versions and about windows 10. I answered both the questions confidently maintaining a smile on my face. While leaving I asked my status about the interview he smiled and said to wait outside. When I came back a person gave me a form which included my personal details and willingness, I was so happy that I cleared my third round and waiting for general HR round.
After a gap of 20 minutes I was called to attend my final round (HR) I was attending the hr round at the time of 10:30 pm. Which is very odd one I was totally exhausted. But time has arrived where I have to showcase my skills and impress the panel member. I entered the room he asked me to take my seat and I handed him my resume he liked my name and asked what is the meaning of your name, I explained him in a friendly manner. He was so friendly and I didn\'t felt panic at any moment, he asked me to give brief introduction about myself (most frequently asked question tell me about yourself) He might have experienced lot of students like me and get bored with the same shit, So I explained him uniquely by giving justification about my every skill I pursue. He then asked about my family background I explained him and said the reason behind my every skill are my parents. He was impressed and asked me a question that where can you see your position after 5 years, I said that I can see myself sitting very comfortably in a chair like you and asking someone else the same question. He was surprised by my answer and gave me a compliment that you are so interesting. From the beginning of my HR round I had a great feeling that I should get into this some company for sure so, I presented myself in a nice manner. Next he asked me that do you have any problem of relocation, I said am absolutely okay with it because new places, cultures fascinates me a lot so that I can get an exposure about the world. At the end I asked him my status about the interview he said to keep in touch with your placement in charge he will announce your result.
Exactly after a long gap of 35 days I got my result that I got selected in CSC. Wow! that moment is absolutely priceless, I think everyone should experience that out of 300 76 students got selected. Hope my experience may help you to get into CSC. I will see you there. :) :).
