Hello guys! I\'m Sai Trivikram Chintakunta from JNTUH College Of Engineering, Jagtial. I would like to share my experience during CSC recruitment drive held at JNTU Hyderabad on 09-09-2015.

It was around 9:30 in the morning when we were allowed into the seminar Hall for the written test. We were first given the answer sheet where we have to mark our answers by ticking against the correct option for each question. Please listen to the instructions given by the examiners carefully. Any violation of the instructions may bring in a bad impression upon you while encountering HR\'s in the further rounds. The test began at 9:45 am. It consisted of 100 questions (40- Aptitude, Verbal & Reasoning, 60- Technical subjects based) and an essay that has to be written in 150 words. The time allotted was 90 min. There was no negative marking. The test paper would be the same for all the branches.

Aptitude questions were all of average level. You can easily answer the questions if you practice R S Aggarwal (almost all topics from RS Aggarwal were covered in these questions). However, there will be certain questions which let you invest a considerable amount of time to solve them. It is better to avoid such questions the moment you encounter them. Verbal questions included Synonyms, Sentence completion etc. Reasoning includes questions from Deductions. Time factor plays an important role during the written test. Always keep track of yourselves with respect to time.

The 60 technical questions were of a good standard. Questions were from the following subjects:

Programming (C, C++, JAVA) , Databases, Operating Systems, Digital Logic, Microprocessors&Micro controllers, Basic Electrical Engineering, Electronic Devices. A CS/IT student need not worry about the EEE/ECE subjects. Just focus on your core subjects. That would be quite enough to clear this section. However, majority of the questions will be from CS/IT domain and for us it was the Databases from which a good number of questions were given. 10 questions were from the emerging technologies which can be answered easily.

Apart from these 100 questions, 4 topics were given from which an essay of about 150 words has to be written. All the topics were given from the previous papers. The following are the topics that were given for us and are generally asked every year:

1. Your opinion on implementation of dress code in Engineering Colleges.

2. Hard work Vs Luck.

3. Is Gandhiji a born leader or a made one. Comment your opinion.

4. Comment your opinion on the reality shows. Should they be banned?

All the written test questions were based on the same model of questions as appeared in previous papers.

After the written test, we had a Pre-placement talk. We were told about the company, career opportunities in CSC, package, bond agreement and all other stuff. At the end, they announced the list of candidates who were eligible for the second round. 143 members out of a total of 400 students were selected for the next round.

The next round was Group Discussion. They divided all the members into groups of 10 to 15. There were several GD panels. Ours was GD 5 panel. We were given the topic "PROFESSIONAL ETHICS". We had no idea about the topic. But, it was our goodness that the HR asked whether or not we know the topic. Everyone answered that we are unaware of it. Later, she explained what Professional Ethics mean by quoting some examples. The discussion started. I can say that it was a JAM session rather than a GD, because she gave a chance for everyone to speak for some time. As everyone was digressing, later she asked us to speak anything on DISCIPLINE. I just spoke only a minute. But, remember they neither considered the time for which you spoke nor the worth of the points that you have contributed. With my experience, I just realized that they have been looking for fluency and the accent. Many of my friends who have contributed even better points than me were not selected. As soon as the discussion finished, the HR announced the results on the spot. It was my goodness that I had cleared the discussion.

Next was Technical Interview. I waited for almost 4 hours to get a call for the T.I. I was completely exhausted both physically and mentally. I tried to manage myself and at last around 7:30, I got to the panel. The HR was very interactive. He enquire how my day was. Quite opposite to my expectations, he asked me to talk about Telugu Cinema. He asked whether the Telugu movie actors are feeling responsible towards the society i.e., are they indulging in any sort of charitable works. Our discussion went for about 5 minutes. Later, he told me that he was just asking about movies so that I would feel comfortable and get used to him so that my Interview would go in a smooth manner. I thanked him for such a discussion and the actual questions started.

Remember, he neither asked my favorite subjects nor my projects. He started questioning all the concepts randomly. The following are the questions posed to me:

What are the layers present in OSI model?

Layers in TCP/IP?

What is a Router?

What is an OS? What kind of OS\'s you have used? What version of Ubuntu did you use?

I was qualified for the next round. It was around 8:30 pm. I was the last one to be interviewed in that panel. My HR interview went for about 7 minutes. Following are the questions asked.

Why is there such a huge gap between your Intermediate and B-Tech percentage? (96.5% to 75.38%).

Tell me about your family.

Tell me about yourself.

Do you have a passport?

Are you willing to relocate?

Do you have any questions for me?

Then, she told that the results would be out after a week. Finally, results were out after a huge gap of 1 month on 07-10-2015 (at an odd time, though). By God\'s grace, I was one among the 64 candidates selected out of around 400 from JNTUH-CEH/CEJ/CEM/CES.

That was it! It\'s all about my experience. Have put all my efforts to present all the questions. Hope this would be helpful. Thanks!
