FEEDBACK OF ON CAMPUS RECRUITMENT PROCESS: COMVIVA.
Process was like this:
. Presentation (Listen carefully).
. Online Exam (through AMCAT).
. GD.
. Technical (1st round).
. Technical (2nd).
. HR.
Written test was through AMCAT. Practice AMCAT papers. Many questions were repeated. 6 sections at all.
1. Quantitative (14 questions 16 minutes).
2. English (long passages were there, antonyms, synonyms, fill-ups).
3. Reasoning.
4. Computer Programming (DST, basic programming concepts. OOP concepts).
5. Computer Science (OS, DBMS, Networking). It had a difficult level.
6. Psychometric test.
No negative marking. In the presentation GD was not announced but later on they took GD rounds. Our topic was "Can India Become a Superpower in Sports"? Our GD didn't last for long. Those who didn't speak were given the opportunity to. When you speak in GD, it should reflect that you are listening to others properly too.
In technical interviews, they only asked the things according to my resume and the subjects I will say I know.
Technical 1:
He asked me the subjects I have studied. C, DST, Java, OS, DBMS I told.
. Program of string reversal.
. Difference between array and pointer in C.
. What is data structures?
. Application of DST?
. Difference between structure and union?
. What is paging, and fragmentation?
. Difference between unique and primary keys?
. SQL query to find second maximum.
. Working of TCP/IP? (It was used in my project).
Technical 2:
. Prototype of a function returning a string and taking two inputs an int and a string.
. Different software development models studied in software engineering.
. What is hashing?
. Any questions you would like to ask?
Both (technical 1 and technical 2) of my interviews were of small duration (nearly 15-20 minutes each). HR questions vary as per the personality you are. I was asked only 3-4 questions while others had long HR interviews.
Questions for me were:
. Introduce yourself.
. What is your career aim?
. What type of environment do you expect from the company?
. Do you have any problem working with C++ language? (as I had proficiency in Java).
. Do you have any problem with our locations (Gurgaon or Banglore)?
. Do you have any problem working late hours? (2-3 hours more than usual office time).
In interviews be humble with a positive attitude. They'll try to confuse you. Not knowing some of the answers is not a problem. They search for a good techie and a good person.
