Hello,
I attended the CDM Smith interview for the post of Environmental Engineer (Water and wastewater treatment). In the interview, they were asked to answer technical papers related to water treatment questions.
Most of the questions in the paper where about some threshold values and permissible limits of various compounds in drinking water. The questions related to water treatment methods and processes were not asked.
For chemical engineering students it will be a difficult interview since in their undergraduate studies they are learning only about the various processes and only about the few threshold values like BOD, and COD.
The person has to be very thorough with the threshold values of chlorine, fluoride, e-coli and other compounds in drinking water and also the various standards of drinking water.
