Placement Papers - Capgemini

Hey guys I was just one of you 2 weeks ago..searching the net for previous papers. There are many available. But not a single question came from previous years in our exam . maybe because this exam was conducted by cocubes.com and not directly by capgemini. I don\'t know if I should advise you to do previous papers or not. If it is an on-campus den do all previous papers . ques maybe repeated. If it is through cocubes no need to do them.
It was a 1 day process. Everything on the same day. Becomes very tiring.

Coming to the exam:- the best part here is that cut off is very low.

3 sections - 25 ques in each. time 90 mins. -ve marking 0.25

1. Englsih (80% ques very easy ),
For English you have to be good in general english. No preparation or barrons book is required if u are good at english. If u are not done read newspaers , story books to improve your english.
2 passages were dere but not difficult. Concentration required when you read the passages. Few tough question . just leave them. your aim is to clear the cut off.
I finished english in 20 mins. It was very easy.

Then reasoning (70% ques very easy )
again very easy to clear the cut off. Leave tough question. no need to do all. Did in 20 mins.

Quant - quant (90% ques very DIFFICULT ) .
It blew me away . I am weak in maths and I could never clear the apti round. But luckily here the cut off is so low dat I cleared. Cut-off must be 9-10 . because I could do only 9-10 ques in maths. So all those of u out dere who are scared of maths like me ..this is your golden chance!

1st round is a mass elimination round. Less than 10% cleared. I was the lucky one.

Next GD .
Topic - pros and cons of facebook.
The key here is to show them that you can speak in english well. Your pronunciation should be good.

Then they checked our marksheets . don\'t forget to carry all your original marksheets with you .

Then interview (technical+HR)
Introduce yourself, about projects, Then they will ask you about the technologies you have used. I used j2ee and oracle. He asked me from these. Another thing - they can ask from anywhere, not necessarily from what you hav mentioned in your resume. So go through the basics of all important subjects like data structures, DBMS, networking , OS, C, Java.
The things I did not know I clearly told him I have not revised this subject. if u can answer 70% of the ques u have a chance. They always ask if u have any ques - keep a gud ques ready wit u. this is where u can leave a gud image . they ask basic ques in interview. So start revising the subjects now! U don\'t have to be an expert to clear the interview.
Some of the ques - whats rdbms, wats normalization, different between jsp and servlet, wats MVC, you to use tables, osi model layers, tcp cums in wich layer, binary search, diff sorting techniques, linkd list, is array a linked list, whats deadlock, adv of rdbms over dbms, etc. fundamentals should be clear.

Some of the students were so lucky , They were not asked any technical question. I was bombarded wit technical question only!!

2 days later result announced. 116 selected from whole of west bengal (I think 4k+ students)

I got It !!! yeah. Read the book "the Secret" by rhonda byrne. (everything bcums so easy wen u read this book). surely read it. it is a must.
I am just an average student. U don\'t have to be an extra-ordinary student or topper to get capgemini :-)

I could never clear the apti . After 10-12 rejections finally My dream came true. Next is Your\'s. just believe u can do it. Thats all
