Accenture Services Pvt. Ltd Interview Experience - Bhubaneswar 31st October-2nd November 2014

Hi all,

Just wanted to share my experience of the Accenture recruitment drive.

On around 24th Oct I received a mail from our college placement cell regarding an off campus recruitment drive by Accenture. It said written test on 31st oct and interview on 1st & 2nd Nov.

31st Oct 2014: My slot was on 3 pm in the afternoon. We were made to wait in a hall in the KIIT, university (the venue for the recruitment process.). At around 2:45 pm we were told to go to a computer lab. The online written test was organised by the aspiring minds.

Question was not that tough, it's just that a person who can devote a month for aptitude and reasoning can surely pass the written test.

So it went well and we were told that we would be informed via mail regarding the result. At evening around 8 pm I received the mail containing my interview hall ticket from the aspiring minds. My interview was on 2nd Nov 2014.

2nd Nov 2014:My interview was slotted at 8 am, reached early and was very nervy. The aspiring minds people made us fill up some 3 no.of forms and this process was over around 9:00 am.

Then we were told to go to some conference hall and all which exactly I don't remember as I was quiet stressed out. I waited for about 1 hr and then my name was called for the Interview. The interview was conducted in batches i.e. each batch 5 candidates.

We were 2 guys including me and 3 girls and there were 2 hr.

We entered the room, wished them. They told us to sit and we sat.

One hr was checking our CVs and forms which we had filled up and the started jotting down our names in a piece of paper.

So the one who was asking for our names was quiet friendly and the other one was not that friendly. So they started by asking us to introduce ourselves and our favorite subjects.

I introduced myself and told that my parents are very liberal in nature and they allow me to do things which I want & to learn from my own mistakes.

Then he asked me what is the gravest mistake I had committed. After some hesitation I told them what I had done.

Then were questions relating to the current IT industry and general knowledge.

They gave enough opportunity to everyone to speak.

Few of the questions were like.

Why IT sector employees comparatively earn more than others.

What is 'MAKE IN INDIA' initiative.

Why Indian flag has 26 spokes on it.

And whatever subject you opt they would ask you from that only.

For example. A mechanical girl in my batch was asked about the IC engines.

I had opted for C, OB and English as my favorite subject as I knew I was weak in technical subjects. So he didn't ask me any technical stuff.

Interview was good, was feeling confident and after some time the names were announced and I was there and instantly my facebook and whatsapp status changed to High Performance. Delivered.

See guys Accenture is a good company and speaking confidently and being honest in your interview is the trick. At least it worked for me.

I received my offer Letter on 9th Dec and now waiting for my date of joining.

Wish you all the best for your interviews and hope that my Experience would help you guys.
