Accenture Interview Experience - Kochi, Nov 9th, 2014
I had attended the Accenture drive in Kochi through Elitmus.
I recommend all of you to write either Elitmus or AMCAT and be placed in good companies. I had pretty good scores in the Elitmus test and got shortlisted for the interview.
Interview was both Technical + HR combined. We were called in a group of 6.
Interview was kind of really cool!!
The interviewers were very friendly and outgoing.
They started by asking each of us to introduce ourselves (Name, Academics, Hobbies) and why we opted for Accenture.
My very good advice is to know about Accenture very much because they may ask counter questions regarding Accenture, for eg: In our group one person started off by saying Accenture is one of the top leading companies and it has many platforms, soon the interviewer asked what are the new platforms of Accenture. But that person was not able to answer, so study very well about Accenture and then appear for the interview because they are looking for people who have good communication skills and good knowledge about Accenture.
So be prepared with the new projects, new awards they got, their platforms, recent ranking of their company, etc, etc.
After finishing with the introduction part HR asked us "How many of you have offer letter from other companies?" Out of 6 , 5 of us had offer letter in their hands. So the next question to those who had offer letters in their hands was : "Ok, So you people have offer letter from another company. So tell me why we have to hire you people since you already have an offer. It's like depriving another person's chance like the one who doesn't have an offer letter.i.e. If you 5 people were not there then we can easily give job to the person who doesn't have an offer. So tell me why we want to hire you?"
I know that it was a pretty long paragraph earlier but I just thought you be prepared with such kind of questions. Everybody told their own reasons as because of the delay of joining date from another company and some other excuses about the company they had offer letter. But I personally request you not to tell anything bad or that makes a bad image about the company where you got placed 1st, Tel them its not because *** company is bad or didn't give joining and all.
Its because Accenture is really a good platform to work and say some of their new projects and some good awards that they got in this year or continuously getting throughout. It will not be good for you, if you tell anything that harms the company who had given you an offer letter already.
Then HR asked the person who doesn't have an offer letter that all the people in your group has offer letter, tell me the reason why we should select you, so that person told about his skills and made him understand that if he is selected he is worth for the company.
After that HR asked the Technical. Sir to start the Technical round. But all of a sudden the Technical person told that he don't have anything to ask.
And what else. That was the end of our interview and we were asked to wait outside. After 10 mins delegates from Elitmus asked all 6 of us to wait in another room. Soon the results was announced and all 6 of us was taken!!! :) :)
So Just be prepared and be confident!! They are only checking your communication skills and confidence level. Though we didn't get any technical questions there were other panels who asked technical questions (only basic questions from the language that you tell you know) and some panel has given some topic and speak about that topic for 3 mins or something.
So just be prepared and if you are not confident at least show them that you are confident!!
Its your confidence and communication skills that actually matters!! And try to appear pleasant in front of the interviewers and give a positive feeling!!!
So All the Best to everyone who will be attending the interview!!!
