Accenture Interview Experience - 3 Sep 2013, Chennai

Posted By : Abhishek Rating : +106, -3
Hi Friends,

I attended Accenture interview on 3 September Chennai. My branch is EEE.

Firstly there was a pre placement talk (ppt). Listen carefully to ppt because so many questions in HR like why IT or why accenture can be easily answered through this.

After sometime my interview started. It was combined interview (Technical +HR). Some of the questions are:

1. What is transformer?

2. Types of transformers?

3. In step up transformer where turns are more primary or secondary side?

4. What is Motor?

5. Difference between AC and DC motor?

6. What is eddy current?

Then interviewer looked in my marksheet and said you have studied data structure, should I ask question from that?

Never say 'Yes' till you are confident enough to answer any question.

Simply Say - Sir I know basics and can tell you the logic.

7. What is linked list?

8. What will happen if we delete 1 node in doubly linked list?

I was not knowing answer to Q-8 but after thinking for 2-3 sec I said- Sorry Sir I don't know.

Then came the HR mam :

Q-1 Are you ready to relocate ?

A-1 Always say Yes.

Q-2 What are your preferences?

A-2 I said mam anywhere I can adjust as I came from North India and adjusted well in Chennai. But after her request, I gave 3 choices.

Q-3 Then came the tricky question-How many technical companies have came till now for EEE and which all are coming in future?

A-3 Friends either say Mam I don't know because I am not interested in my branch and want to work in consultancy or IT.

And if you don't want to speak lie simply say Mam I attended 'xyz' technical company but only to improve to improve my aptitude and interview skills so that I can perform better here.

That was all friends.

Now some value able tips that comes with experience.

1. Always address the ladies first. Example-Hello Mam, Hello Sir.

2. Always take a good pen along with you to write if they ask. Never ask for a pen.

3. Always wait till they ask you to sit.

4. Always keep smiling.

5. Never loose confidence. If you don't answer any question no need to feel guilty just say with full confidence that I don't know and give a smile.

6. Always stick to your answer, sometime just to confuse you interviewer will say sure, say confidently yes sir.

7. Never say you want to go for MBA or GATE. Also don't show you are more interested in your technical side.

After interview always say Thank You to panel.

Friends always keep a smile on your face :).
