IPv4 have 4 octet and IPv6 have 16 octet and all the octet are 8 bits. So IPv4 32 bits and IPv6 128 bits.

The difference between IPv4 and Ipv6 is the size of bit address only.

IPv4 - 32 bit-- represent in Octet form.
Example -- 69.89.31.226 -> 01000101.01011001.00011111.11100010->
4 octets -> 4x8 ->32 bit.

IPv6 - 128 bit(hexa decimal format).
Example -- 2002:4559:1FE2:0000:0000:0000:4559:1FE2 -> 8 x 16 -> 128 bit.

Hope this helps.
