Yeah, it should increase because when the cutting edge angle increases the resisting area of tool decreases hence the strength of tool decreases so less force and power required then tool wear reduces and the tool life increases.

Large end cutting angle means nose is more pointed (nose angle become small). So lesser life and more chance of breakage of the tool.

I think its right because end cutting edge angle have limitation about 15 degree angle after that it reduces tool life because it increases the pointed nose it can lead to stress concentration eventually breaks the tool.
In other hand, Side cutting edge angle called aproach angle it controls the chip thickness so increasing side cutting edge can reduce chip thickness. So eventually reduces forces on it thus it can increases the tool life (15-45 degree angle preferred).
